So my family (husband and sons)is squabbling ... some say that YES there is and the others of course say no.
I want them to stop arguing SO wise rant -- is there an exception or not??
(I don't think so for the record)

Can a 3 teams from SEC be in BCS games?

yes but it's impossible this year.
Could have happened last year with Georgia winning the SEC and LSU/Bama being ranked #1 and #2 and facing off in the title game.

I read the BCS guidelines the other day for some clarification on that exact issue.
What I made from it was that the only exception is if 2 teams from the same conference play in the title game and neither wins the conference. I guess last year would of been a example with a chance. UGA beats LSU in the SEC Championship, but Bama and LSU finish #1/#2 in the BCS.
