Now let's just see how they divide up the sessions in Fort Worth...5 SEC teams should qualify out of 12 hopefully at least a 3/2 split

Does Wyrick still have that injury, shes been shaky on bars the past couple meets. I wonder if thats why.

Cannamela is really coming on and is a fantastic lead off on vault.

Mckenna Kelley has been consistent. She will be a monster on floor the rest of her career.

I am curious what DD wants to do with that last spot on beam. Julianna is definitely capable of giving 9.8 scores but she seems to be having a hard time. Coming out of HS she was known for her bar work and floor routines.

Having Priessman back at the right time is huge. Nice to also see Myia Hambrick have a great meet. She definitely has been a pleasant surprise this season.

Does anyone know what LSU's rotation will be in the Semifinal? We are definitely in the harder session in my opinion.

Proud of our Tigers!!

Couple of thoughts:

Wyrick must have stepped out on floor as she was taking off to run for a pass. Sometimes a gymnast will push off with their foot and if they are already on the line they may step right over it. She definitely did not go out of bounds on any of her landings.

You cant have your first two gymnasts set you up the way they did on beam (and even vault) and not capitalize on that. 9.9 and 9.875 on beam and then no one goes above a 9.825? Gnat and Finnegan should be 9.9 and Ewing should be right around there. That 3rd beam spot is trouble. Cannamela is simply not doing her job. No one expect a 9.9 from her but she should put up a 9.8 or so to keep the momentum going. I almost wish DD would put her at the end of the lineup and let the other girls build off each other. Her score at the end of the lineup may see a boost. The downside is can she handle the pressure as anchor if someone in front of her falls.

They didn't show much bars but I don't think they were really sticking dismounts. Can definitely improve that score.

I wish we had just one more 10 start value vault. That could be important at Nationals. Finnegan did a beautiful vault with just a step and it goes below 9.8 The judges are judging those 9.95 start value vaults much more harshly than the other vaults.

Cannamela is capable of doing more difficult vaults. Personally I would like to see Cannamela on bars. That is her best event. If it weren't for Zamardi with an uncharacteristic routine. We would have had a good bars score over a 49.400. Finnegan, Priessman, Hambrick all had fantastic bars routines. Savona did her job on lead off.

Erin Macadaeg, aside for the first meet this year has actually been very consistent this year on beam. I didn't see Finnegans routine on beam. She usually is always at a 9.900 on beam. Not sure why Cannamela is struggling for some reason there.

Floor was great as always. If Ewing or Wyrick had a little better routine we are over a 49.500 which is great.

I personally think DD was expecting Priessman to have that spot on beam this season but with her injuries its out the question now, and I don't think DD will use someone new on beam this late. We need to fix that up.

I meant to say that it is clearly time to use Cannamela on bars. Take Wyrick out. She "hit" bars the last two meets and the judges scored her lower than what she is accustomed to. Her tkatchev has bent knees and no amplitude. She often gets stuck in handstands on her full turn and that is a rhythm deduction if it is bad enough. Plus she can't stick even a stuck dismount since she hops to salute.

Use Cannamela during semifinals at Nationals. Our lineup is solid enough that I don't worry about it and she has competed bars before, anyway. She has a gorgeous dismount that she can truly stick.

Aren't Cannamela and Szafranski training Y1.5? What did Kelley vault as a Level 10? I'm thinking Kelley's and Priessman's ankle/foot injuries kept other 10.0 vaults from the lineup

Valid points. This is why I believe next year could be scary good.

Kelley can be very good on beam.

What is Y 1.5 starting score?

Adding Kennedi Edney next year will be crazy. She is an elite vaulter, and I see her being used as an all arounder.

Ruby Harrold will definitely be in the lineup on bars.
