Brandon Harris missed multiple wide open receivers
Yes he did, but the play calling didn't help him. We were 2nd and less than 4yds 5 or 6 times and they ran into an 8 or 9 man fronts. These were the perfect times to get your young QB some confidence.
Our offense did what it was supposed to do, gain 5-8 yds on first down. This is why play action works so well, which we never used. Sorry but I blame 90% of the loss on the coaches. It would have taken an NFL o-line to gain positive yards running into 8 and 9 man fronts.

The defense did give up a ton of yards, but they were also on the field a long time. If you watch the second half of the second quarter the defense is gassed they can barely stand. The defense is better then it looks they just need to get some help from their offense so there
but part of the reason they were gassed was they couldn't stop auburn from making first downs. no way can you blame the shite storm that was LSU's defense Saturday night on the offense.
did you not notice that auburn scored like on every drive in the first qtr?

One of the issues LSU has with its QB is the inability of the QB to change the play at the line of scrimmage without instruction from the sideline. Too often LSU gets stuck in a bad play, or runs the play clock down to zero, or very close. This results in unnecessary timeouts, penalties and time management issues at the end of halves. It goes with having inexperienced QBs.

All we need is a big DT and a little time for the young guys to get a feel of the game and we will be competitive - right now we are not.
I think a big DE might be good too - 290lbs or so.
240 just doesn't move much in the SEC. Make Hunter a LB

Why the constant trashing of the OL?
Did you watch all those first down plays where we kept getting 6-8 yards a pop?
so, are they good, or are they bad?

That excuse doesn't fly far when you take into account that Auburn was marching down the field at will from their first possession. It was 17-0 before you could blink.
Make no mistake. Auburn would have kept scoring as long as they had to do so.

Lost me here. They could have Peyton Manning at QB and they wouldn't take many chances...well, ever
Really you mean ever as in last year when we had a 3000 yard passer. Again the idiotic statements on this site are mind blowing.

Good post OP, I agree. Although the defense I alarmingly bad for the second straight year.

If teams are stacking the box, and we can't open up running room...it doesn't mean the OL sucks.
agreed
it's the scheme... spread players and zone blocking with power running plays

They gave up 270 plus yards in the first quarter.
It was 237, but that is way too many. However, they did get 4 possessions because we had a bunch of 3 and outs. One or two sustained drives even without scoring could have kept that yardage down more.

it was 17-0 in a blink of an eye
