One thing that stood out for me was leading up to the game a lot of of the college football Talking Heads were setting up and discussing Miami versus Tennessee for the national championship. and I kept thinking , we still got one more game they need to play!

It was so great beating them that night.

My dad and I watched it together from a restaurant bar. I just kept saying to him over and over , “wait, we’re going to the Sugar Bowl!?!”. This coming from an LSU fan not too far removed from being ecstatic to go to the independence bowl

You know the guys in the production truck were laughing their balls off when they got the camera lined up on those two and were probably begging LSU to score that touchdown on 4th down so they could go to that shot.

I lived in Marietta from 95 to 03.

I was active in ATL Chapter LSU Alumni.

Del Moon (former TGBFTL) still lived there when I did.

It’s hard to believe in 2001 that 1977 was the same amount of time back as 2001 is to 2025

No. I was friendly with her. She was married to a Florida Gator.

Her sister, Jill Hezeau, used to do news on WWL. I think ATL Tigress' name was Jeanne.

Ha ha! That's pretty wild. Yep, getting ready for Bill Walsh, Stanford and the Sun Bowl.
