It won’t happen bc it isn’t allowed anymore. The way the game is played and called now the rules don’t allow for a dominating mean and bullying defense. No laying out players and bullying guys who dare to go over the middle or leave them selves open for a high thrown ball.
It does lend itself to turnovers, and I think we can call our shots & have the players to stunt and make a play causing fumbles and interception with our speed.
I imagine it will be a bend bend bend and then stunt and make a turn over type play. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it won’t, and I think we have the speed to at least make the play and get another chance later in the series or next, but football is different now, do you can’t last the guy out when he touches the ball, you can get all in his space with speed and get physical if you actually see the ball and are making “a play on the ball”

I am very excited. We have talent and depth on the D-line and we seem to have addressed the defensive back field. If that Dline gets consistent pressure we will see a lot of turnovers this year.

is this the year we see a return of physically dominating LSU defense?
Need enough playmakers that they spill into Special Teams. Then LSU is back!

The old cautious pessimism approach.

In the era you are speaking of if we even had an average Les Miles era defense LSU could have had several more multiple national titles.

The lack of production along the d line magnafide the inexperience and medicare DB's over the past 6 years. You cannot get manhandled on the line.

Man. Love him or hate him Les miles knew how to pick defensive coaches. Those stats are crazy. That 2011 team is probably my favorite team not to win a NC. So stacked.
