Since we are coming off the draft, I was curious about how the 2023 offense fared since I think all the starters have moved on:
1st Round (4): Jayden Daniels (2), Will Campbell (4), Malik Nabers (6), Brian Thomas Jr (23)
2nd Round (1): Mason Taylor (43)
3rd Round (1): Emery Jones Jr (91)
4th Round (0):
5th Round (1): Miles Frazier (171)
6th Round (0):
7th Round (1): Garrett Dellinger (243)
UDFA: Charles Turner III, Noah Cain, Josh Williams
Contributors Still in College: Garrett Nussmeier, Chris Hilton Jr, Aaron Anderson, Logan Diggs (Ole Miss), John Emery, Kaleb Jackson
Overall, 8/11 selections and 4 first rounders. It's been said a million times before but it's criminal this team did not at least compete for a title. (I believe with Lacy it would have been 9/11 selections, I think he would have been drafted somewhere in rounds 2-4 if not for his legal issues and unfortunate passing.)
For fun, the 2019 offense had 16 total players drafted:
1st Round (4): Joe Burrow (1), JaMarr Chase (5), Justin Jefferson (22), Clyde Edwards-Helaire (32)
2nd Round (2): Terrace Marshall (59), Ed Ingram (59)
3rd Round (3): Damien Lewis (69), Lloyd Cushenberry (83), Ty Davis-Price (93)
4th Round (2): Saahdiq Charles (108), Anthony Bradford (108)
5th Round (0):
6th Round (4): Trey Palmer (Nebraska) (191), Racey McMath (205), Austin Deculus (205), Chasen Hines (210)
7th Round (1): Stephen Sullivan (251)

That's alot of work. Great job. Still pissed we had one of the WORST defenses in the nation in 2023. We should have at least made the playoff.

The Oline is 2019 didn’t have any all American/first round studs, but damn were they solid.

They had a better center. You also left off the draft year. You’re talking about freshman versus juniors. Where the 2019 draft has 3 first rounders on offense and 2 on defense. That’s the crazy part.

How bad did Les suck at running an offense? Then Ed O is like "let's take this kid who looks good on film and talks like Joe Namath" and PRESTO, greatest offense ever.
And technically Emery still has a shot
