2019 schedule released by classicgold Have we ever played Auburn that late in the year before? That seems kind of odd. We got a favorable draw from the east too. Looks like it could be a fun year with how loaded I expect this team to be.

Plenty of times:
2001
2002
2003
2005
2007
2009
2010
2011
2017

All of those were in October

Matt Wells continued of Andersens success and built them into a quality program

Other than one bad year in 2016 they've one 60% of the time since 2011.

I saw that Mizzou and Arkansas are playing on Saturday Nov. 30th. So who gets the Black Friday game?

Arkansas/Missouri will be moved to Friday. It’s always scheduled initially on the Saturday when the schedules are announced.

Was the same way with LSU/Arkansas.

Followed by another week off.

Straight up, that's a playoff contention schedule for us

Absolutely. Florida hasn't been doing well lately. It isn't a stretch to see LSU undefeated heading into the Bama game.

This might be one of the most favorable schedules I've seen LSU play in recent years. No SEC game until Oct. Good draws from the east. 2 byes. Pretty good schedule overall except Texas being out of conference but they suck every year so whatever.

I know Bama will be on the road, but that seems more manageable than this year's schedule IMO

LSU at Texas will be a lot like USC at Texas was last Sat night - USC fans were all over the stadium. The tiny allotment of 4,000 tickets LSU gets will be taken by band, students, and the highest of TAF. Those seats including the band will all be in the upper deck of the north end zone. The USC band was there last Sat. UT has no lower visitor seats because the Big 12 does not require that like the SEC.
Virtually all of us Tiger fans will be getting tickets on the secondary market like USC did. Also the idea this game will be moved from Austin is absurd and if you lived here you would know that. UT already is promoting it as part of "get your season tickets now because look at all the great teams coming to Austin soon like LSU, Ohio St, Bama, etc"

Not a bad schedule overall, but there is one negative feature: the number of SEC teams that get bye weeks before they play us. Alabama, Arkansas, and Vanderbilt all get open dates immediately prior to their games with us. We, by contrast, only get an open date prior to Alabama.
