So next year LSU opens up to Miami, then plays southeastern then Auburn. I like Danny but looking at our schedule don't you think it should be time to start getting some other QBs some playing time considering the opponents they face early on in the 2018 season?

For the sake of Canadas scheme alone, I believe itll be Narcisse. Unless Brennan just wins the job outright during camp.

A healthy Narcisse is definitely the better QB at the moment anyway.

How could you possibly know Narcisse is better? Have you not learned from LSU’s past QB’s that high school means nothing. I hope Narcisse is great but to say he is definitely better just doesn’t make any sense as a matter of fact I’d be willing to bet that’s not the case at this time. Next year maybe, but their is a reason MB was the backup and it wasn’t just due to injury.

These are the key words in what you just said.. A lot of people would probably agree with you on Narcisse, purely based off of size, athleticism, and throwing ability that he brings to the field.. The bottom line is, no one knows how good each of these guys is gonna be come September 1st.. Both Myles and Lowell have their pros and cons. Can Myles gain more weight and build more confidence in the pocket? How reliable is Lowell’s ACL at this point? We as fans just don’t know.. That’s why the coaches are gonna have their hands full this upcoming Spring/summer.. I’m just glad we got two guys that look the part. Myles can sling it and Lowell has everything you would physically look for in a QB.. Bring on the competition and let’s ride

So did Brandon Harris.

Many of you just just never learn.

At this point in time, King Lowell is not an accurate or consistent passer in practice and Canada is not going to play somebody that does not have passing skills.

He'll have to become accurate or he'll not ever start here................

I don't have a dog in the hunt here and I agree with what you are saying about BH and other former qb's..... but.... that statement! Knowing DE is our starter

Canada has to start someone even if it's a dog just good enough that you don't shoot him

Is He? So when's the last time you've seen him play in a football game? Dude hasn't played in 3 years, nobody knows what He can do.

Agreed.

Accuracy and doing the small/routine things right (e.g., dump offs, throw aways) make or break a QB. Big boy football against fast defenses make for small windows and crucial timing. Without being able to get in those windows, a QB will not be consistent.

Arm strength helps, but I'd put it third behind accuracy and decision making.

I guess in the future we'll see and/or hear which of the two has the better/most skills. I doubt anyone knows for sure right now. Never discount offseason work, the whole dynamic can change depending on both the coaching and the player's effort.

You mean sacrifice the season for the players that worked their arse's off and screw Danny Etling to give your idol who won't even be the starter next season some reps. Hell no, and stop posting those damn threads every week two minutes into the game claiming that Etling is horrible and that he needs to be replaced by Brennan so that we can have a chance to win.

Why don't they put Narcisse in? Give him a chance.

Yeah from the first day that he showed up on campus he was immediately moved ahead of all the other quarterback recruits and anointed the backup according to my inside connection who was there for every practice in the spring and for every practice since the fall, and is the reason why Lindsey Scott flew the coop.

Moreover, in the case of Narcisse, it was due to his injury. With respect to the other recruits it wasn't based on anything, which again is why Scott left.

You think every dual threat is a carbon copy of that lame overrated quarterback Brandon Harris because you're an enormous ignoramus. Meanwhile like an enormous ignoramus you claim everyone is too stupid to be smart like you are.

Then you go onto present your stupid speculation as if it is true. When the truth is you don't know anything about Narcisse or how he is doing.

Moreover ignoramus passing isn't everything as teams like Ohio State and Alabama have won a lot of games with mobile dual threat quarterbacks that couldn't pass worth a crap, while at the same time they were winning a lot of games and waiting patiently for their passing games to develop.

In the case of Jalen Hurts his passing game improved significantly. In the case of JT Barrett, not so much, but nonetheless Ohio State is still on the cusp of making the college football playoffs. Not to mention, that Nick Fitzgerald's passing has improved as well since last year as he torched LSU for some quick and easy scores.

The last thing we need at LSU is a long skinny quarterback like Myles Brennan who is too slow to evade the rush when it breaks down, which in the SEC is quite often. Because what makes the SEC so good relative to the other conferences is the defenses.

He played. Not a lot, but there is enough film out there to determine that he is a much better athlete than Brennan and enough to garner him offers from schools like Alabama, Clemson, and Auburn while Brennan with all of his film only got offers from schools like Vanderbilt, Indiana, and smaller schools till LSU offered him.

I guess we know what's on your Christmas wish list.
Hopefully, Lowell will be the greatest QB to ever wear the P&G. He has the physique, but does he have the tools. We have all seen what recruiting hype brings, and it's not always good.
I can see where both QB's could possibly play in Canada's system. I am sure every one of the coaches would like nothing better than to have 2 great QB's.
But, you just keep bad mouthing Brennan & blowing Lowell's horn, that will make him the best, for sure.

I don't know but going 1-2 to start would really suck. Miami is going to be a tough one and Auburn will be out for revenge at their house.

Meaningful reps or not man I'm not sure who Miami or auburn is loosing but that's two good schools that's going to be a tough game and could go 1-2 and not a good confidence booster to who ever they decide to start. All I'm saying is get them some playing time don't start them just get them in at some point. Like last week when your up 21 points in the 4th
