Just curious, what are you basing this prediction on? Miles has lost more than 3 games in the regular season exactly 2 times in 11 years. He has lost more than 2 games in the regular season exactly 5 times in 11 years, or less than half the time. Given what LSU has returning and what other teams are losing...factored in with fact they only lost 3 this year...if my life depended on it I'd go 2 or less.

terrible green, I agree with you to a certain extent that as long as Alleva and King Alexanber are around we may be stuck. However, Miles also had the backing of the media and several vocal fans at the last. Opening loss to Wisky with possible early losses to Auburn and Florida could easily turn the tide against him. If we follow with losses once again to Arky, Ole Miss, Bama, I think he will be in serious trouble regardless of Aleva, Jindal and Alexander.

I can't say enough.....

People thought THIS was the year? No. It's 2016. The Wisconsin game alone will give everyone an idea of how well LSU is prepared to play serious contenders. The returning starters will have us in the best position in years.

Remember how 2011 started. A hefty Week 1 game. Teams that start that way are usually primed to have a great season. Much like the way Oregon prepared us in 2011. Week 1's are usually sluggish. But if we can play well at Lambeau? Anything is possible.

Ultimatums like "must win the West or else" are so silly. We won the West at 5-3 in 2001. Bama lost the West in 2011 and won the national championship. You have to let the season play out. We could go 11-1, beat Bama, but lose a close game to an Auburn, Ole Miss, or Arkansas on their way to a magical 12-0 season. We would either play in the sugar bowl or sneak into the last playoff spot. That sure as shite isn't getting anyone fired.

I do agree this is a huge season for both Miles and Alleva. Not sure either could survive a 4 or 5 loss season. I think another 3-loss season may buy Miles 1 more as it is my understanding the buyout is significantly less after the '17 season.

If we had more depth in our front 7 on D we'd be a top 3 team in the preseason. We were a top 4 in 2011 with Jefferson/Lee

I think it's more depth at LB not the front seven. Jr will have his Dline pumped and ready to play. He returns everybody.

A lot will be determined by who decides to come back instead of opting out for the draft. Beckwith and Pocic are the keys.

We will see but I do have a feeling its going to be similar to those years. Hopefully, we don't get blown out at all next year though...

hosed at the end like in 2014.

Hosed implies we were done wrong in some way. We kicked it out of bounds. On the last play Jennings had better than a 50/50 shot to pick up a first with his legs. Our coaching staff could have called timeout when Bama came out in that formation. We didn't get hosed. We blew it.

If by "do" you mean "don't lose three games in a row in embarrassing fashion and end up in another shite bowl game" then yes, I would agree.

Win the West or get to the Playoffs. LSU could go 11-1 and go to the playoffs. If he does neither, he should go. Time for a change.

Miles has had enough time to win the West beforehand. It's not the fans' faults he can't get it done in 5-6 years.

Unless Miles goes 5-7 he will be here until his contract is up.

Same thing has been said year after year. We were so lucky they didn't have a QB this year.

I see another losing record in November 2016. 5 of those in a row.

The thread stinks because it is a open invitation to the negatigers and I have tired of them years ago !

Fellow Tiger brother, that is not the intent here. Just an honest question for the board and to get real opinions. And I don't like the Negatigers either. If they want to answer, fine. If they want to regress to the state of a 12 year old ranter then that is their right. Every one has a right to make a fool of themselves:).

We certainly got hosed by ol' bugeyes, Tom Ritter. That call was HUGE!!! I have no doubt that even with A J at QB we had a good chance of getting a TD with Hillard or LF7 running it or a pass TE like vs. Ole Piss. That was the one call to get Bama back the momentum they needed. Yeah, we were hosed!!!

NExt year is absolutely boom or bust for Les.

I almost feel bad for him but this is by his own doing. If he doesn go 10-2 or better beating Alabama AND winning the West. It's not going to end well for him post-season.

A big big thing will be offensive improvement too. IF it's the same ole shite it's simply not going to carry him to beat Alabama or win the west.

Would not go that far. But, Miles has folks backing him up for a myriad of reasons and will give him as much rope as they can. Not everyone whose opinion matters agrees with this sentiment. But when the governor's office gets involved......

The TAF has a group within it self who wanted Miles gone years ago. And, no, just because the TAF had the money for the buy out does not mean its united. Because it isn't on this issue. Especially after the PR backlash back in November.

The same thing is said about Alabama every year yet they are always competing for the title year in and year out. One word for you, coaching.
