If this is how you view it how can you ever say at any point that a program is trending up or down? Was 2015 the same roster and schedule as 2014?

What's great about this thread is it's 42 pages and Lester has been involved in just about every one of them. Out of all of these posts, he has yet to provide a single verifiable fact. He's, literally, only given opinions.

Ya, you're not insecure at all.

In your mind, arguing for 42 pages with someone that cannot provide logical points makes you_______________???

-There are 6 NY6 bowl games

-The top 4 teams in the CFB rankings play in a playoff

That leaves 4 bowl games. When conference champions are in the playoff, then the highest ranked available teams get the bids into the other 4 bowl games.

In the case of the 2012 season, LSU entered the final polls at #9. Take away the 4 teams in the playoffs, and they are the 5th ranked team vying for 8 total spots in NY6 bowl games. That is how a team that went to the Chik Fila bowl could play in a NY6 bowl today.

You could have just said, "I don't have proof, only conjecture."

Here's a fact: 2013 LSU played in the Capital One Bowl with a 10-2 record.

Here's a fact: 2015 LSU played in the Texas Bowl with a 8-3 record.

Here's a fact: 2018 LSU is playing in the Fiesta Bowl with a 9-3 record.

Here's an opinion: 2018 LSU had the best season of these 3 teams because they played in the Fiesta Bowl.

/discussion.

Oh Lord. Please don't start the "trolled you" posts, Lester. Going that low is embarrassing, even for you.

Oh i am not trolling you. I am saying you wouldn't be arguing with me for 42 pages if my points were not legitimate. Just because you have 1 melt post every page does not mean I am actively trolling you.

Ah. So you're admitting my points are legitimate? Glad you've finally come to your senses.

But wait, you really don't think a then 9th ranked LSU team would find their way into the present CFB playoff?

You realize LSU is ranked 11th this year and got in, right?

This is good. This is real good

some of the things you say make sense when you aren't pretending every win and loss are the same. Anything regarding that is completely nonsensical. This bowl game stuff is a bad look too. You've dug in a little too deep, but thats on you

Why do you keep harping on the 2012 season only? 2013 had a better win and equal W-L record and played in the Capital One Bowl. Finished the season 10-3 and ranked 16th.

Was the season worse than 2018 too? Would they have made a NY6 bowl in 2018?

So people responding to you legitimize your posts, but that same logic isn't applied when you respond to them?

Which is why I specified the shitbag display in November of 2015 as my focal point, not the year and how it compared to the year before (or 3 prior). My opinion was based on what I saw on the field...not stats. After experiencing the quality of an IPhone 3GS, I sold my stock in Motorola and bought Apple...even though Motorola stock was more valuable at the the time. My take based on the eye test -buy LSU "stock".

So how do you feel about the November 2018 display? Worst home loss for a top 5 team in 40 years and first loss to Texas A&M this century.

I know, I know. It wasn't LSU's fault that they lost to Texas A&M.

Do you want me to unzip your pants and jerk you off my friend?

I just said some of the things you say make sense. Despite the plethora of stupid shite you say, I am giving you that.

Knowing that not all wins and losses are the same, no they would not have played in a current NY6 bowl game.

finished 6th in the SEC
only beat 3 bowl teams (similar to last year)
ranking at 14 reflects the weak season they had

More opinions.

Making shite up again? There were 3 teams at 7-1 and 2 teams at 5-3. That puts them 5th, assuming you're using the head to head to put UGA ahead of them.

Now, let's do 2018:

Alabama
Georgia
Florida (Head to head, remember?)
Texas A&M (Head to head, remember?)
LSU

Looks like both finished 5th to me.

Oh look, an actual fact. I am truly proud of you.

9-3 with a win over SEC Champion Auburn is weak.
9-3 with a win over SEC Runner Up Georgia is an accomplishment.

Solid logic there Lester.

Auburn 7-1
Alabama 7-1
Missouri 7-1
South Carolina 6-2
UGA 5-3
LSU 5-3

except they were 9-3 going into the bowl game, just like this year.

And they only beat 3 bowl teams

they were ranked 16th in the BCS bowl standings going into the bowl game

This team after looking at it is much more similar to the 2015 team than it is to the 2018 team.
