It is hard but we are supposed to be a perennial power and our post season results don't show that. Ppl can blame the bats if they want but I'd like to see our rankings in terms of home runs and extra base hits compared to the rest of the country. We also don't develop mid week starters under cpm which kills us in post season play.
Geez, I don't even know where to start with this.
Why do you care about our rankings in homeruns and extra base hits? Why not just caring about winning? Homeruns are not a very important stat in determining postseason success.....but I'm sure your extensive research has proven that to you.
On the midweek starters, let me know when not developing a 4th starter did us in. Maybe you are only thinking of last year when we didn't develop a 3rd starter.

Because it's a function and important piece to winning baseball. It's very hard to have big innings playing station to station baseball. As far as developing the mid week guys it hurt us last season and previous seasons we've won 1 world series champ in the last 7 years and haven't had a deep run at the cws besides that year.

Except that its not.
WHIP
ERA
Hits Allowed Per 9
Slugg Pct
OBP
are all more important measures per the last few years of statistics

No, not having a sunday starter hurt us last season in the CWS, not the 4th starter.

who is winning more?

I'm not sure if you've read the rest of that guy's posts in this thread. He's aggressively stupid. I wouldn't humor him unless you want a headache.

I havent, thanks. I'm done with him.

Just a taste: Raph Rhymes was a "decent" college hitter. That should give you the idea.
Posted on 4/27/16 at 9:59 pm to lsu2006
Holy crap, he didn't think Rhymes or Katz were great college hitters? Lol

He was ridiculous at 3B, you knob. Probably the best I've ever seen at this level.
Do you even Christian Ibarra, bro?

He's isn't a bad recruiter he just doesn't recruit many hitters he's only interested in defense

Slugg pct? You do know this is an extra base hit stat right?
Posted on 4/27/16 at 11:05 pm to Ryan3232
Listen to the guy speak it's like offense upsets him. On his show last week when he was asked about the big offensive numbers vs mizzou he got all pissy about it like he was mad we scored so many runs.

Yes, and we led the SEC in slugging last year. But I'm sure you knew that.

Keep changing the argument if it makes you feel better
Posted on 4/27/16 at 11:16 pm to Madking
What exactly is the argument? You said you want to know how we stack up in terms of extra base hits. You acknowledge slugging percentage is a state indicative of extra base hits. I show that we led the SEC in that category last year. You say we haven't had any great hitters under Mainieri and were quickly shown to be an idiot on that front too.
So, please tell me... What is your "argument"?
ETA: we were 2nd in the SEC in slugging % in 2014 as well. Just in case you were wondering.

Wrong I said smoke had more great hitters than cpm I didn't say cpm didn't have any. I said we needed more extra base hits to be successful the guy said that extra base hits arnt important but then said Slugg pct is. That's a contradiction. And I'm talking about the type of players cpm recruits yea we were 2nd is slugging last season not 1st and that's very rare under cpm. He recruits tiny singles hitters he doesn't recruit middle of the order guys. Now go ahead jump down my throat a spit you're hate you fricking bag

2010 - 2nd in the SEC in slugging %
2011 - 4th
2012 - 5th
2013 - 2nd
2014 - 2nd
2015 - 1st
I mean, good lord. How many times can someone be wrong?
Do excuse me. We were .001% behind A&M last year in slugging. Fire PM

I guess you're right that A&M's slugging percentage was .001% higher than our's last year. Congrats? You're still an idiot and have no clue what you're talking about.
