That's why Al Pinkins is here... was a big reason the super undersized Tenn team was one of the best rebounding teams last year.
That could be huge for us. The only way that can happen is being fundamentally sound.

Ready for some LSU roundball, was kind of upset I was going to miss the season opener, then saw that ESPN U is carrying it. Crazy to think that a game vs McNeese is going to be nationally televised.

It's called the Ben Simmons effect.... This game is one of the worst games of the day, yet it still makes national TV.

Probably the most talented team top to bottom since
Yeah. I am psyched!

Oh yeah! Should be a fun season. But one Ben does not necessarily make a championship. It will take a team for that. One that will do the little things and the hard things. Like box out on rebounds, scrap for loose balls, hustle back on defense rather than celebrate and make the extra pass rather than the quick shot.
You must have seen something I didn't see to label Elbert and Epps as two trustworthy post players. Although improved they both weren't very effective at defending the post or getting rebounds. Epps obviously wants to be (and probably is) a small forward with that type of body. Elbert still has quickness and endurance problems.
Our problem is that Simmons is our best inside player and only true post up player but is also our best playmaker from the outside. Once we get to the slow it down, rough and tough SEC games, I think he will have to play inside more than he or we want him to.

quote:I agree. Gray isn't nearly as bad as some try to make him. He is still the quickest player on the team and can break down a defense with his speed and moves. He takes too many chances. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't but I guarantee you there will be more than one game this year when you will be glad his is on the roster.
It's only an exhibition and the unnecessary Gray hate is starting. He had too many turnovers, absolutely...he had 4. Of course, he also had 4 assists, 6/8 shooting for 13 points. By comparison, Quarterman had 4 turnovers and 4 assists with 5 points...and they played the same minutes. Obviously, Gray =/= TQ, but the unnecessary Gray hate is just amazing. He will play probably about 8 minutes a game and most will still think it's too much

Gray is the tGOAT against up-tempo teams. WVU and Arky games come to mind

Can't believe it's gameday. Seriously been working towards this day for months!
I'm dying of excitement.

If I don't post something next week, know I probably died of excitement.

This is how I feel...my co-workers just don't understand my excitement level, so I'm trying to keep a lid on it.

I'll probably go to Chimes or Walkons for a beer.
