Just picked up my season tix Tuesday. Beyond excited, this team is going to be special.

Could not beat the $100 price tag for the season tix. I was looking at a 5 pack and it was going to run about $92, figured I'd spend the extra 8 per seat and get the whole season. Geaux Tigers.

Rebounding is definitely a concern. You don't lose 2 of the top 5 rebounders in the conf. and have it not be. The biggest concern is limiting opponents' second chance opportunities. Simmons is going to be your leading rebounder. You have to believe Victor will also help once available. Along with those two though, the guards are going to have to help out. Quaterman could easily avg. 5-6 rebounds per game. Hornsby is a pretty good rebounder for a guard and watch Blakeney, he isn't afraid to attack the glass.

I think LSU is going to be out-rebounded in most games. They just have to be able to keep the difference close.

Until Victor gets back, it's going to be bad. Have to hope that we can get 3-5/game from our taller guards. I saw Blakeney get up a couple of times in the first half to grab some boards. If we can do that, we'll be fine.

How's Josh Gray looked? He was a player I was expecting a bit more out of last year. Plus I know he missed the Australian trip. Will he be coming off the bench more this year?

75/1 ?!?!? Where did you find that? I got 25/1 on them in July.

It's gonna take a lot of help. I noticed backside guard crashing boards on offense in the exhibition. We actually did well on offensive boards in that one.

Elbert did well in his minutes on the offensive board also.

Simmons should be getting a lot of defensive boards and you hope to get some from Epps also.

Definitely something to watch moving forward.

That's why Al Pinkins is here... was a big reason the super undersized Tenn team was one of the best rebounding teams last year.

been a while since we've had a gritty rebounding team (think back to some of the bradester's teams)

If you look back at last season, Quaterman and Hornsby were in the top 10 of SEC guards in rebounds per game

3. Quarterman (~5 rpg)
10. Hornsby (~4 rgp)

That was with two guys pulling down nearly 10 per game each (Martin & Mickey). Part of that is because LSU games feature more total shots than most games, but the other part is that they are just good rebounders as guards. Blakeney is also solid. IIRC, he was one of the top rebounders, overall, on the Australia trip

Gray was Gray...turned the ball over 3 times (came in off the bench about 12 min mark of each half). A couple of ill-advised shots on drives that led to easy rebounds for SW Baptist. Hoping once Hornsby is back Gray's run time is minimal.

It's only an exhibition and the unnecessary Gray hate is starting. He had too many turnovers, absolutely...he had 4. Of course, he also had 4 assists, 6/8 shooting for 13 points. By comparison, Quarterman had 4 turnovers and 4 assists with 5 points...and they played the same minutes. Obviously, Gray =/= TQ, but the unnecessary Gray hate is just amazing. He will play probably about 8 minutes a game and most will still think it's too much
