You are correct. I was referring to Kai. As for Elena: Jay has said that her back is bugging her which is why we haven’t seen her on floor at all this year, even though she has a serviceable routine (based on years past)

I was curious so I looked up the averages for macadaeg and desiderio. Regular season was absolutely comparable. Postseason yes Erin did have some better scores. Out of 15 routines desiderio had 2 falls and 4 routines that did not score well. While that is nothing to brag about it is certainly not “rare” that she did well in post season. Erin also had mistakes. I went through quickly so I could be off a little. Also Christina often led off on floor being the first performer of the entire meet. Just my opinion. She was one of my favorite gymnasts

Regarding Brock, her last pass is way too difficult. Why does she have to do two front fulls? The last full could be a front layout or tuck or something to make it a little easier on her right? Or like you said just do a 2 pass routine. Her leaps and dance look good. I just feel like all that difficulty is setting her up to fail when she doesn’t need to have it. I love her gymnastics and I’m really routing for her!

On a different note, I was so proud of Aleah! She looked amazing last night!

Because Kai doesn’t do any D acro element she has to have an E leap is what I was told by a former coach

The million dollar question! Brock really does have a nice routine, but she has had trouble 3 out of her 4 times. We need her on floor right now, and she could easily score in the 9.85 range. But like you said, she’s set up to fail with her 3 passes. I just don’t get it. I’m also really pulling for her. She’s really done well on vault and could do so much better on floor.
