And to be honest, there could have been a penalty for slamming the helmet and a pre-snap penalty on the TD because the left side of the line was clearly never set. Miles was just such a frick up.

He was goofy and had poor clock management and was a stubborn sob. His body of work flat out shows he was not a frick up, to suggest that is well, just wrong.

Ugh. My 2 yr old twins came downstairs to the basement. Unbeknownst to me, they were behind my chair as I watched Miles botch the clock and T Bob snap it as the clock ran out.
Their first “GDAMN MFKING SOB !”

I left from my seat and was in the corridor and people started yelling we have another play!

Ran out to see the field just as T Bob snapped the ball and TD and turned around to leave.

That first stretch of the 2010 season just felt like a tractor pull. Didnt really start enjoying it until the wacky UF game. From almost choking a huge lead against a depleted UNC team to this crapfest it was a classic Miles team. At least they beat bama and destroyed aggy in the bowl game.

Les mismanagement of the clock was truly baffling this game. Subbing on 3rd and goal with the clock moving and 30 seconds left? What an idiot move. I felt for sure he would be done soon.

Spectacularly the next week, we upset Florida in Gainesville and Les’s clock management was perfect. One of the few times in his career he wasn’t stubborn and actually made some good changes.

This game is clearly highlighting the clock management. He had good qualities, too.

I thought Les was toast

The vibes in that stadium in those few minutes before the review were really really bad

Never felt worse after a win than that game.

Les always had to make things harder than they needed to be.

Goofy. True
Atrocious clock management. True
Stubborn (and outdated). True
His body of work vs frick up?,? Some truth in both. He had great success, yet he underachieved in many ways because he was sometimes a frick up with roster management and staff hires. Our lack of quarterback talent and development was his frick up. Not updating the offense was a frick up.

I had a like-dislike of Miles.

Les Miles won more games with the raw talent he had rather than game time strategy.
