13 of 24 vs. 5 of 24 from 3 and 18 turnovers is what cost us the game

Last couple of outings Skylar hasn't had his groove either.
We sucked from 3 point land and they shot 55% from 3.
But the damn turnovers....................

They made two or three ridiculous threes. They made three or four wide open no pressure threes. Our rotations were slow. Could not tell if the rotations were slow because of favoring the big kid.
Not going to,win many SEC games with 20 turnovers. Going to have a hard time winning when your opponent makes 13 threes.
Still should have won.
I was at the game and sit behind the basket at the end with the lob pass. It was way too high and high risk. We were up 1. Not the best decision.

Agreed, Skylar has been out best 3 point shooter all year and the last two games he's missed for him, and inordinate amount of open and uncontested 3's.
In fact the last 3 games it's been an issue for the whole team. We're not the best shooting team in the conference be we're better than this, need to show it.
Arkansas has not shot like that all year, but we had a lot to do with that. Let dribble penetration occur way too easily forcing early help and easy dishes to the perimeter for wide open "horse" threes as WW calls them. Yeah they did hits a couple of tough ones with us in their face, but the majority were clean and open. They won't shoot that percentage from 3 again this year I predict.
As for the turnovers I thought we had begun to get away from that. It had plagued us early in the year but we've seen a vast improvement of late until today. And the thing is it wasn't against their press. Just silly, mindless turnovers in the half court.

I would say letting your opponent shoot nearly 60% on your HOME court had more to do with it than anything else. Yes, Ark made some tough shots, but most of their buckets were the result of terrible, undisciplined defense...again. This team hates the thought of staying in from of ballhandlers and would rather try to lazily force turnovers. When they miss, it gets everyone of of position and allows even average offensive teams to move the bal and find wide open shots
The offense cal still put up plenty of points. The rebounding has been fixed since the earlier struggles. Sadly, the defense remains inconsistent...at best

I love this team and think they can really make a run in march but they don’t have a pure shooter on the team outside of MAYBE waters. They have guys that can make 3s but not on a consistent enough basis and have far to many off shooting nights than on. I fear that the game that eliminates them in the tournament will be because they have another one of these 17%-25% nights from 3 and will be out scored

Defense lost the game. No way a middle of the road team should come in and hang 90 on you in your place. Reality is we haven’t played well the last few games. Hoping we get the deficiencies worked out and are peaking come March.

I agree. Sometimes you catch a hot shooting team especially from the three-point line and you will have a very difficult time beating them. You have to play excellent basketball which the Tigers did not. Too many turnovers and looked on discipline at times. All in all a great comeback though. Something can be learned from this game.

To lose by one when the other team is shooting lights out shows that LSU'S team is going to be fine.

And bad defense in stretches of the game where they built the big lead, horrible rotation and communication on defense at times.
