Kinda looked to me that the play was set up with the option of a Jones dive or a pitch to Clark. The pitch was there and would have scored. Possible Jones just made the wrong read?

Pretty sure Kiffin picked up a play sheet after Weiss called that one for the rest of the game

We had already scored a TD on that formation and play in the first half.
I don't like going to a play like that a second time in the same game (since we don't have Darrin McFadden.)

Hindsight is always 20/20. That play worked multiple times vs. Clemson and, like you said, resulted in pretty easy TD for LSU in an earlier situation. It has been one of LSU's most consistent plays...even when the defense knew what was coming.

This must be an extension of that formation. Only reason it makes sense to bring Clark in as a running threat. He is our fastest QB
