So a 10 and a 9.9. One judge saw nothing and one saw .100 deduction. Smh.

I think most of us just want the coaches to change the leap series.
ETA and somehow teach these girls some mental toughness.

I saw a 9.95 so the average score makes sense to me

Everything I know about gymnastics is what I read in these threads each Friday.
So y’all keep up the discussion while I just read and try to learn.

For a long time they had all the girls doing a switch leap switch 1/2 leap series, which most girls except a few could not do well. They finally started changing them a few seasons ago.
Also that’s how I learned as well so just keep reading!

Yeah I think the average of 9.95 is probably correct. There just isn’t much consistency with all the judges.

Great great beam. We have continually improved the last couple of weeks on that rotation. It’s awesome to see.

Splits like this is embarrassing for the sport. Like it clearly wasn't a 10 but it was a great routine.

Konnor is going to score well on beam wherever she goes because of her form. I think she sets up Kiya and Haleigh well because they both have form issues.

Big Finnegan had the best leaps on beam.

So if we win the judges are fair if we lose they are corrupt…. As always…

It’s gonna take a team 9.9+ average on beam to win the national championship. In my very novice opinion, the beam goes a long way to determining the winner.

Beam and vault and our vault isn’t there yet.

They have to stick dismounts in post season across the board. That is something they have struggled with for years.

No one is saying that. We are saying that there needs to be more consistency between the judges. It’s a real problem for the sport.
For instance. Last week everyone here mentioned that the scores were high. We won and we still discussed it. So your premise is wrong.

The scoring is very subjective, similar to figure skating.

I know that. But it’s really not supposed to be.

Well of course no one associated with the sport would ever admit that
