How about this offense improves to the level of the defense Aranda's coaching up before we take shots at him?

Who is taking shots? Expecting results commiserate to pay is as cut and dry and simple as it gets.

We’re getting our money’s worth from Orgeron, can you say that about Aranda? Top money should equal top production.

How quickly you forget that the publicly stated premise for hiring O was to save money on his salary to pay extra for elite coordinators to do “Xs and Os” coaching.

Of course that apparently didn’t apply to the offense after Canada left, which is why the offense has been shite. O was allowed to promote Ensminger, which turned out predictably poorly. Everyone who was being objective could see that coming the day they announced E as OC. Hopefully Brady bails them both out. Aranda has done his part. It’s time for the offense to pull their weight.

I can't believe any fans would object to this reasoning, whether you're Einstein or just simple-minded.

The highest paid DC in the land should have a defense that can get a stop once in 7 tries.

Aranda got two stops in 7 tries.

Considering you get the ball in FG range for OT, a FG is a stop.

this is not from formations or attacking or whatever the hell they;re spinning it to be. it's a talent thing

O said it after the bama game and that was as honest as you can be. Who was the last real elite DL to come out of LSU? Brockers?

Danielle hunter but brick Haley thought he would be best used as a back line judge during his time here

Someone who gets it! Unreal the amount of hate Aranda gets on this board.

Canada was brought in and had a desire to score points on Bama, he did, then was promptly let go. Wish our fans would hold our offense and coaching hires accountable instead of piling on the best coach at LSU.

Unreal, is the amount of stupidity of some on this board. Nobody is hating on Aranda, they're just offering advice. I suppose Aranda's buddy offering him advice implies he hates Aranda too.

What does his pay have to do with anything? You're using it as a prop to criticize one guy and make excuses for another because he's not getting paid as much. Maybe some people are falling for this smoke and mirrors you're trying but not me.

There's one standard, not several standards based on how much you're getting paid. I can't believe you have the gall to sit here and seriously make this argument. You should be ashamed, saying it's basically ok that some coaches aren't performing well because they're not getting paid as much. I hope you teach that lesson to your kids. Tell them it's ok to suck at your job until you get more money.

I tell you what, if that's what it takes, make the HC and Ensminger the highest paid in their roles. We'd then be getting top-shelf production from our HC, OC and DC. Why hasn't anyone else ever thought of that?

A fellow coach offering advice person to person to Aranda is one thing. Folks sitting behind a keyboard is another.

Not saying that at all, but spin spin spin. Protect Aranda at all costs

I’m not going back that far, but you were probably one of the guys pushing for Aranda to be hired as HC over O.

I wasn’t one of those because I foolishly believed Alleva when he said he was going to hire an offensive-minded HC with a history of success.

Of course that went out the window too.

If they were going to abandon finding an offensive HC, then yeah, Aranda would have been a better hire on paper. I believe he said he didn’t want to be a HC though.

If it wasn’t for Aranda, O probably doesn’t have a job right now.

So you don’t expect any increase in pressure, TFL, or sacks based on the DL going from a “read and react” scheme to a more aggressive “attack a single gap” scheme?

Amazing

Did anyone tell this coach O should be giving % of his salary up to Aranda right now considering he would've been fired by now without him?

If Alleva was going to break from what he said about getting an offensive HC, and about one with previous success, he might as well have broken from the part he said about HC experience too.
