We match up well w/ Bama in all area's except QB. Mett will have to help us win, not us win in spite of his play.

IMHO I think that it will tough sledding against Bama. For one, Saban will send quite a few disguised blitzs at Mett. Mett will be hard-pressed to recognize exactly what is taking place.

Also, although I honestly think our running game is second to none, its extremely hard to run against a stacked box consistantly.

I think our D will be outstanding as usual but Bama will score here and there and that will put a significant amount of pressure on our offense to match thier offensive production against the best D we will have faced this year.

Florida has the best D in college football. The problem is they have a mobile qb as well. We will get another shot at them in Atlanta. Can't wait for a Mccarren pick 6!

Mettenberger is definitely the key, he has a good game we win, plain and simple. He continues to look bad, this game is close and Alabama will be the favorite.

Florida's D is just as good as Alabama's and LSU's, not better. I don't consider them the best. If we had an efficient offense, we could have been up on Florida 21-0 easily in the first half.

Teams have had some success moving the ball on the ground against bama's front four. Unfortunately, teams are playing catch-up early due to missed tackles and lack of pressure on mccarron. I didn't feel great about match-ups with mobile qb's like driskal or johnny football, but mccarron will be running for his life. Bama will turn the ball over. The Tiger's will be able to stay with a ground game because we won't be desperately playing from behind. Our running game will gash bama's defense. Our defense will dominate bama's offense. Execution won't be an issue due to the 2 weeks of preparation. The Tigers will beat them down and wear them out...period

I like your HOPE. BUT... I am not sold on LSU being able to move the ball without success passing the football and the penalty issues this team continues to have.

After the bcs debacle, CLM will coach these guys up. Penalties won't be a factor. Also 2 weeks of scheming, planning, and healing gives us a huge advantage. Saban historically chokes mid-season as well. Remember the ULM game?

Based on WHAT???????? Bama is a fine oiled machine right now. LSU is NOT. Bama is fundementaly sound right now.. LSU is NOT. WE HAVE a GREAT SHOT, BUT....... ZERO TO's and Penalties WILL BE THE KEY.

Not sure about a HUGE advantadge. Its all about gamplanning. and routine. I know Miles is real good with bye weeks, BUT he has NEVER faced a team THIS good coming off of one....

Nov 10, 2007 Miss State 17, Alabama 12

Nov 3, 2007 LSU 41, Alabama 34

Jan 02, 2009 Utah 31, Alabama 17

Oct 09, 2010 South Carolina 35, Alabama 21

Nov. 6, 2010 LSU 24, Alabama 21

Nov 05, 2011 LSU 9, Alabama 6

You are right. We had time to prepare for bcs loss. We had already proven, with the ineptness of jordan jefferson, that bama was beatable. That said, Saban had much more to play for in the championship game. That motivation works both ways. As you can see, the almighty Saban will occasionally get knocked off his Hi-Horse. Although not often, it can and will happen.

Wrong, bama's team last year is better than this year. Their defense last year was unreal. Their defense this year isn't on that level.

If LSU plays like they did against SC they'll win. Plain and simple. If they play like they did against A&M or Florida, they lose.

Offense puts the passing game together on top of another beastly running attack and defence dominates like they have done all season.

Not to mention..ITS SATURDAY NIGHT IN DEATH VALLEY

I doubt it. Bama's O-line is stout. As great as our D-line is, we haven't been racking up the sacks this year.

I don't doubt we have the players to win, if they play well - I just don't see us abusing McCarron.

And I'd be elated to return on 4 November to eat these words - one by one.

Mccarron is the least mobile qb we have faced all year. He is going to get lit up!
