I remember that game like it was yesterday. The Tigers were pissed off about losing to UAB the week prior to that game. They went into the Tenn. game with something to prove.

That game was my LSU sports equivalent of Reagan intercepting the Achille Lauro hijackers and forcing them into apprehension in Italy.

It's like we were back, we had hope again.

I was there that night. It was something very special. Rohan was recruited as a scout team QB.

My second favorite Tiger game of all time with the 2001 SECCG being 1. The feeling I had after that win was so incredible. I live in Tennessee so I hear about UT this and UT that and finally being able to win over those guys is one of my favorite memories...along with my dad on his knees praying as John Corbello was about to attempt a game winner which actually got blocked I think But it turned out well in the end.

It was the first game I actually ran on the field. I can still remember all the fans standing on the sideline waiting to run on the field. That was one magical game for me.

Same here. What a night!

Man, did Rohan have the touch, or what! Beautiful release, made it look effortless. Amazing how it comes natural to some, and other just can't seem to get it!!

I think Florida '97 did more in that regard.

And you would be an idiot to think that

Why do people feel compelled to call each other idiots?

ANYONE who was at the game in 1997 when we beat #1 Florida would agree that it was a 100% electric experience.

For years I kept a zip loc baggie in my desk with my stub from that game and a handful of grass from the 50 yd line. I eventually had to toss the grass because it resembled a stash of weed, but I still have the stub and I'm looking at it now.

EAST 14,
FLORIDA
Game 7.
Total price $26.00

I've been to all the other bigs ones, including the Tennesse game referenced here, the Auburn Earthquake game, the second effort by Hester in 2007...all very exciting.

But that 1997 game was an amazing experience for those of us who were lucky enough to attend.

I was standing on he wall at the student section during the overtime. People were bordering the endzone while the last play was happening.

My brother was on the front page of the Advocate the next day straddling the goal post. My dad framed it for him. He is now 30 and has his engagement party this weekend. Oh how times have changed and he still has the framed newspaper in his office.

Dude, lest we forget, the VERY next week, we lost 36-21 to Tommy Tuberville and Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium.

Yes, after the Florida win that was a depressing game to sit through. I believe it was Patridge for Ole Miss who threw short passes all day over the middle and killed LSU.
