10 points is the most

This defense has given up so far in 4 games. 10 points! I just don’t see Ole Miss putting up 20+ points. I think the defense will set the tone and if they can get turnovers and create a short field I see LSU willing by multiple scores.

Ole Miss will score u28.5, probably more than 10

If Chambliss starts, they are going to struggle vs this defense. The game could be played anywhere on Earth and that would be the case.
Now that’s still probably good enough for 21-24 points, but it’s still far below what they typically generate.

And ole piss has given up 58pts in their two SEC games. Hopefully Nuss can 10-20yd the offense up and down the field.

They will score somewhere between 21-28 imo

I think both teams will be in the 20s this game.

Agree.
And can we score more?
It's good defense v. good offense and bad defense v. bad offense.

I think Nuss slings it now that they’re letting him throw down field partially due to the fact that he’s more healthy now. I like LSU 31-24

Our first test against a running QB. Need to contain him and keep him from bouncing outside.
Chambliss’ legs could be the difference.
This one scares me more than any other of the game on our schedule.

Doubt it! That d2 transfer qb is about to see some stuff from baker he has never seen before ! It’s what baker has been doing all season long

This is the best defense ole miss Wiill have faced to this point yall actually think this guy is going to chuck the ball all over the field against this defense? Lmao watch what baker throws at this guy he will be seeing ghost as well! Ole miss doesn’t have a good defense !

I think OM puts in QB runs and some screens to slow our rush/blitz down.
First true running QB we have faced, so I’m not sure what Baker has up his sleeve.

One thing they mentioned during the OM-Tulane game was that he only started one season at Ferris St, so he’s not just from D2, it’s only his second year running any college offense.
Baker knows this and will have some disguised coverages ready for him. As long as we can be disciplined and keep his running yards to a minimum, I don’t think he’s going to roll out there and victimize this secondary.
The same game plan would apply to Simmons as a first year starter, even if he’s a bit more balanced. I have a feeling both will end up playing in this game.

This will be the first legit dual threat we’ve seen. It will also be the first good offense we’ve seen. Not to discredit our defense but we’ve seen Clemson was super 1 dimensional and not very good on offense against anyone this year, LA Tech and SE, and Florida’s atrocious offense. This will be our first legit test and I think they’ll do just fine, but I’m expecting a 27-24 type game.

I absolutely love what our defense has done so far this season. But I NEVER underestimate a Kiffin offense. I would not be surprised if they score more than 10.

Running the football keeps their O on the sidelines. Hopefully we do a better job of running the ball and not having our D defend against 65+ OM offensive plays.
We probably see less blitzing this game and the D try and keep things in front of them with the dual threat. Got to be sound in the gaps and not let their QB hit us with his legs on 3rd downs.

Yep. Mush rush and lots of disguising. Showing one high and dropping Perkins. Spying with either Weeks, Keys or Perkins. Exchange blitzes where we just send 4 or 5, but have a DE drop in the flat to make it look like more are coming. Baker’s going to be in his bag going up against Kiffin.
Let’s remember- Baker held Kiffin and a better QB in check with a less talented and experienced defense last year.

LSU can count itself fortunate to win this game.
