I said stop hitting the ball in the air. Period. Like, never for him. Ever

No you didn't. Your original quote was he hits the ball in the air too much. You're not going to semantics your way out of this. You implied that he was a fly ball hitter when he shouldn't be. In reality, he was always a line drive guy.

We are not a great bunting team.
Wrong.
quote:

bunt at non strikes, have poor form (we don’t keep the bat level and don’t move the body but rather move the arms and punch at it too much…shite you learn in Little League), miss signs, etc.
You have no idea what the signs are. You have no idea if we're trying to bunt on pitches we take for strikes. The one "missed sign" all year was on Saturday. That's it. It's not an ongoing problem like you're inferring.

Bro Jay tried to gas light this staff preseason and went as far as saying “I know Skip says you only have 8 on a good team but I think we have 10-12”. Half way though the season and he used 5 on the weekend

You keep trying to use this as a gotcha. It was a coach talking his players up, something that has gone on since the beginning of organized sports.
quote:

ou said it yourself, Jay doesn’t steal. Or hit and run, or thing situationally that’s impressive tbh.
You don't hit and run or steal when your lineup is full of gap to gap power hitting players. It is the wrong approach. Why should Dylan Crews steal 2nd after a single when Tommy White is coming up after him? You lose runs stealing there.

This team has worked the bath paths a shite ton more, and has done so extremely effectively. Not calling steals and hit and runs is the same thing as calling steals and hit and runs. It's all a coaching decision that Jay has to make.
quote:

guys like Stanfield. You brag about his .320 avg but he has 1 SB when he’s gotten on and we’re around the halfway point.
Yes Chris Stanfield is having a great season. I "brag" about it by stating in plain english that he's hitting the ball well. You, on the other hand, NEED to find a way to diminish he and Jay's performance so you say "oh well he isn't stealing!"

With Curiel and Jones behind him, he doesn't have to steal bases to be an effective base runner or create more runs. Those guys can drive him in on their own, and they have all year.
quote:

It’s not a weapon we use well. I’ve seen just as many negative base running plays than positively impactful ones since Jay’s been in BR.

Give me 5 examples of "negative base running plays." Sounds like a lot of those base running mistakes were made by PM and Cain players who Jay holds no agency over whatsoever, so those can't be his fault.

We've stolen home more than 5 times on double steals this season alone. We've had maybe 3 base running mistakes this year.

I dont know the history of your posts or why this thread was made, but you sound like an idiot in this one

Why would you use more
Pitchers than you need in a weekend series against a top 10 team? Just because?

Also, stanfield is LSUs leading hitting in SEC play (.375)
