This has been a problem with Yeskie all year. Something has to change very soon if LSU ever wants to be competitive again.

he definitely is not telling them to not throw strikes on 0-2, which is the proper pitch. If it happened once, you can say the pitcher just made a mistake, but when it happens over and over like in this game, it is on the pitching coach that doesn't emphasize the importance of making the hitter swing at something out of the zone. Yeskie quite obviously doesn't believe in that, and that is why he is a failure these days. That philosophy of pitching is as old as the game itself.

I think Nate is over correcting for last year where he would call wildly un-competitive pitches after reaching 0-2 thus extending his guy’s pitch counts too much…
