I don’t think it was a Championship year, but I also never in a million years thought we’d lose to F’N KENTUCKY!?!?

did you really expect to make a run his first year?
I certainly expected to beat Kentucky. We recruit better than them every year, so yes I expect to beat them.

The sky has already fallen. Team needs to improve significantly. Out coached and out physicalled. That’s not to be expected. Kiffin should never EVER rely on Baker to stop someone else when he has the chance to end the game on one play.

quote:Kiffin lost a king's ransom of talent after his 2024 failure at Ole Miss and in 2025 with a whole brand new crew, he went 11-1. Talent is not the reason why we lost to Kentucky and Ole Miss. Both were one million percent terrible coaching decisions. I can agree with losing to Bama because we don't have the depth, but not f-ing Kentucky. The defense basically got a guy loose for 77 yards but until the final drive and OT, they did fine. Why in the hell would you play this soft as charming defense so they can dink and donk down the field. Kiffin was punked by prior coordinator and now Baker was punked by his colleague with inferior talent.
Kiffin has also been saying since spring that this roster is still a work in progress that has serious depth issues.
We mostly ignored him because we didn’t want to hear it, but seems like he may have been correct
