Correct, but has same limited range for different reasons, because he can't see the field and averages 4 batted balls per game. Side arm flick release is low altitude release garbage. Looks cool and works for practice balls and open lanes into first level of passing targets. Can't put trajectory on balls that need to be dropped in and second level balls are at peril every time. Hence the overthrow to #4 in endzone. Balls are either spot on target or uncatchable. Think rifle shots versus artillery, only the object is to get hit by them. You can run under artillery. the rifle either hits you or it doesn't. and at least 4 times a game you hit the defense. Usually the tackle or end bunch while trying to hit a 7 yd pass....Someone should stream them all together so the point gets driven home already.
