Donovan Dent led LSU with 24 points and 9 assists, while Skyy Clark added 21 points and 8 rebounds.
LSU shot 50% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range but couldn't pull out the victory.

Dessert looked better in the second half I like his offensive game but Ruzic has a sky high ceiling
We have got to rebound and make free throws. The offense is going to put up points though.

Glad to have a competent coach again.

They’ve got two freaking 7 footers and still can’t rebound?

Ball movement for FSU was really good. Noles look dangerous.

Dressert and Niang were a bit tentative. Dessert more assertive as the game went on, Niang passed on some opportunities.

We switch almost all the time so the guards have to be better with boxing out and attacking the rebound.

Yeah we can’t be too tough on them this early. New team and environment. They both have crazy potential.

Yep, it was obvious they’re behind vs live rounds. Dessert did have a couple of nice inside moves but neither player was in the flow of the game.

Rebounding isn’t about who has the tallest player, it’s about who has the most determined player.

We shot better ...made 15 3s ....gotta be better from the line and rebounding

Too many turnovers, missed key FTs and started slow. In the road vs a good team you have to be better. IMO the rotation isn’t right but we’ll see where it is when the season gets going.

Sounds like they need to be better defensively. I thought a few of these new guys were supposed to be known for their great defensive skills?

Tried to tell everyone this for the past 3 months in the bball threads lol

Literally their first game together. Give them a break.

Yes, exhibition game, doesn’t count but great way to get them more real minutes, especially on the road against legit competition
