Rumors of 17 mill to Kiffin. There is no way other prospects are seeing close to this same offer.

Any coach at the level to be considered will know their salary will be based on their market value set by their past performance and perceived future potential.
All of them also know if they come to LSU and win, they will be among the highest paid in the sport. The starting salary is just that, the start.

8.5 million a year for 10 years sounds cool. The Gov will be disappointed but the sun will still rise tomorrow.

If the two coaches have the same agent it weakens the negotiation and exposes LSU to over pay.
