You're correct, up until the SEC amended their complaint on Tuesday. I don't think the Mouse expected the SEC to go nuclear and threaten expulsion. The media narrative began to shift midweek.
This morning on SEC Nation, Finebaum even alluded to his bosses not being happy with him if he said LSU should be kicked out. An SEC without LSU would blow up the TV rights deal.
Also, Speaker Johnson and Sen Kennedy are pissed about this situation, and the Protect College Sports Act could be voted on in DC next week. The NCAA and conferences don't want that jeopardized by any more yapping from talking heads.

If I were them I would be concerned about a congressional hearing that would pull in ALL internal and personal communications by all SEC officials AND member school administration employees that discusses LSU, eligibility, TRO’s, injunctions and disciplinary discussions.

Word on the street is that Texas just added an OLman to its roster after Sark talked him into dropping from a spring minicamp NFL roster AFTER LSU backed off it’s ex-NFL preseason camp guys.

It is my understanding that Sark has removed Hutson from their roster after their first game due to an eligibility problem "unrelated to his TRO." Has something changed?
