Frankly, I would look at that as a best case, now.

With 6 games to go I would place the possible outcomes:

10-2 (I would put that at less than 1%)
9-3 (about 5% tops)
8-4 or 7-5 (75%)
6-6(15%)
5-7(5%)

I mean, it's crazy to have spent this money and be at least 2 losses too many to make the playoffs.
