That is left our tackles... where we put the best we have every year... the rest of the lines under Les were a trainwreck most years, with poor coaching. We literally had starters quit after games and just never play again it was so bad.

Well Hawkins and Barksdale were both RT for a couple years before they were LT. Hurst was a good RT in 2011 who quit unexpectedly in 2012.
The issue really was scheme and interior line play.

Brian Kelly ain't crazy, he said keeping coach Brad Davis from the previous staff was a no brainer. We all can see why now.
