I think Gibbs is coming for a visit, this tells me Evans didn't sign with us

Fair question though isn’t it?

He’s a better fit than Evans TBH, even though I’d love LSU to get them both.

Agreed. Honestly again if a kid is playing all these games he probably won’t make it a year without off the field crap anyway

What you call it when kids tell you they 100% committed and then bounce on you during the ESD period to another team? I call that getting played!

No. Getting played is when it’s been directed at the behest of another coach. That’s not what happened here.

Keeping your options open quietly and openly playing games are different things imo

Seems like lots of recruits love clowning Orgeron. He has a serious issue of trusting too many recruits by their word and not doing a good job reading them. That's why we've been getting burned at the back end of the recruiting cycles the past few years. Need a better closer, IMO.

Y'all are way too hard on this Evans is a headcase thing. So he has wavered on his commitments. So what. Maybe he just doesn't know where he wants to go.

That’s fine if you are switching from one school to another. But this kid has apparently told like 5 schools he’s coming. That’s playing games.

it’s ‘fluid’ and things change all the time, but essentially it’s just a large cluster**** with a lot of money involved.

Which is exactly why people say recruiting is “fluid”

We get pissed when LA kids go elsewhere and then we get pissed when kids want to stay at home.

Makes no sense.

I will NEVER blame a kid for staying at home. I blame Rak for wanting the big attention of the flip but I don’t blame him for staying home. I don’t blame Burton for wanting to go back home and I won’t blame Burch if he ultimately wants to stay home.

The One thing our recruiters can’t promise these kids is the allure of home. That doesn’t mean they got played.

Y’all must be new to recruiting, “closing” just means bringing a bigger bag to the kid the night before

You do realize we only lost 2 recruits that were committed to us that we wanted right? And one committed to a school nobody had him going to (and I honestly believe you will see him in the transfer portal after next year) and the other went to Georgia because they were desperate for receivers. We are far from hurting for elite receivers. Louisiana is always loaded with good receivers.

Gibbs and Clayton are both committed to other schools, didn't sign on ESD, and are still looking around by all accounts. Are they headcases too?

He also has missed multiple games in high school for disciplinary reasons and almost fought a coach on the sideline during a game. I still hope he signed with LSU but he's definitely a headcase and that'll make it hurt a little less if he didn't.

If its Ga. Some of their committed running backs may hit the transfer portal next week.
