do none of yall think we have a chance or do we not want Standish Dobard?

I've read a couple of places the Dobard wants to go out of state, supposedly he really liked either Auburn or UGA after Jr day recently.

what's the confusion about my man.

-Standish has been very admit about wanting to leave the state.

-My list will obviously differ from others and that is the point. This year we have soooo many kids to choose from because we are targeting big fish early but still have loads of worthy kids in state.

I would be willing to bet if DeSean Smith went elsewhere before Dobbard committed, then he would come to LSU. I don't think he wants to play second fiddle to another TE in the class

Yeah, thanks for the info everyone--I am going to have to catch up. I was wondering what most of you thought LSU's realistic chances are for landing Tim Williams--would be a shame to see a U-High product go elsewhere!

Never afraid to go out on a limb, are you (Bridgewater at WR, no Jefferson/Diarse/Lewis)?

No inside info, but I think they are better than 50%, maybe significantly better.

i think we have a better chance of flipping raheem falkins than offering Hakeem Deggs

...plus, if we're going for an undersized quickster, id want to have jetavious wilson from bastrop-- he reminds me of Hakeem Deggs, only better

who cares?
state is loaded with TE's this year

i'd rather have desean smith and maybe even deondre skinner from patterson, over dobard

A lot of no go for Deggs on here. Il be honest, I dont know much about him. I watched his most recent film and was truly impressed but dont know his measurables and such. I put him in my projection based on that one film alone. Yeah thats kind of dumb but we will see.

And as far as Dobbard is concerned, I agree with the notion that he will committ if Desean goes else where. Any other year Dobbard would probably be a huge get for us and he would love to come here. But this just speaks to how good Desean really is. If I were in Dobbard position I would not want to be at a school with Nic Jacobs,Dickson,Dillion Gordon,John Thomas AND Desean Smith. Id go be a stud at Auburn or Georgia like he his thinking, but any other year Dobbard is a must get and I think he would be ours.

I dont see why Dobard would care about Smith. We aren't that deep at TE. We need more than one in this class.

Glad you mentioned John Thomas--had forgotten about him lately. Any ideas on if he will qualify and what does he need to improve--grades, test score or both?

We do need more than one but TE in our system is not like, lets say a RB. We could see a 5 star RB and a high 4 RB in the same class much like Hilliard and Hill. But Dobard and Smith are two very elite TE's. One would get all the attention while the other will rotate. Why rotate or ride the pine when you can be the go to guy at another big time school? I want them both very badly but the chances of this happening are very slim.

He was listed at 5'7 149 pounds at the combine. 0% chance for an offer.
