WR Reload

You do not replace an OBJ and Landry, two 1,000 WRs that are as special as they come and are going to continue to do great things in the NFL. Fortunately we have a current roster loaded with talent, and some 2014 guys that want to help us win games! See attached link:

You don't immediately eplace two guys like that, but the guys we just picked up could end up being as good or better in a year or two.

Replacing their production is possible. Having four 500 yard receivers isn't the same as having two go for a thousand, but as long as we find ways to match the production with young players. Then things should be good for next season

Yeah its not like these guys were all world prior to this year. Just grew well with the qb and OC. Lack of complimentary players helped their stat lines. I'd say some of our young guys could replace their consistency pretty well in a couple of years. With that being said I think Landry is going to be a damn good wr 2 in the pros.

Since Dupres JR year, Ive said hes the best WR prospect to come out since AJ Green and Julio Jones year. And I still feel that way. We could be the most talented WR prospect that we have ever got when you consider his size along with his athletic ability. And its amazing how polished of a WR he is coming from the veer offense. And playing in the run heavy veer offense tells me that he knows how to block.
Trey Quinn is the type of WR that can come in and produce as a freshman.
And I cant remember the last time we had this many TEs that can split out and play as a WR. DeSean Smith could be 1st on the team in catches, yards and TDs next year. And then we have Jacory Washington coming in as well.
Plus, I have big expectations for Dural this year. And expect Diarse, Spears, Peterson, and Leslie all to take the next step.
Our WRs may be inexperienced, but theres a lot of young, talented guys on the squad for next year.
More worried about our QB than I am about our WRs.

I would hope our offense spreads the ball enough to where we don't have two 1000 yard receivers again.
"Throw the ball where they ain't", not throw the ball into double or triple coverage because we know that playmaker can make the catch.
When OBJ or Landry missed a series, it made the other one in the drive a predictable target and our offense easier to defend.
You can target the true playmakers, but still hit the TE or the 3rd/4th WRs and RBs with enough regularity that a defense will pay for doubling or tripling playmakers on passing downs.
Spread it around enough and everyone is a threat to move the chains. Your offense doesn't shite the bed suddenly when one playmaker is out for a series, and these lesser used targets get more experience and confidence.

First, you need to have a 2000 yard passer.

You don't think Jennings will pass for 2k?

Very possible he doesn't

A 5 star and a high 4 star. One started as a true freshman, and the other was a special teams highlight reel as a true freshman. So, yeah, these guys were all-stars from the get-go.

Kadron Boone, James Wright and Travin Dural are VERY complimentary. Their time was limited because the starters were so damn good.

TL;DR at bottom
He'll go well beyond that. LSU fans have it in their mind that because he looked bad against IOWA, then Cam Cameron, known for mentoring top level QBs and getting the most out of QBs, will run an option offense.
Paying no heed to the fact that what little of that we did in 2010 and 2011, was a whole personnel ago. We don't have the same WR, QB, OC, or OL coach. Their reasoning is because a true freshman in his first start with a conservative gameplan, against the #6 ranked pass defense in the nation, in bad weather conditions, looked bad, we will turn into a wannabe Auburn. Oh and some bull crap about Rivers dad saying that Rivers left because LSU wants an option QB.
Just throw out the fact that we have Cam, or 4/5 of a starting OL, or two athletic TEs with an OC who likes to utilize the TEs.
Just forget the fact that Fournette has hands like a receiver, or that we had many a TE wide open last year when Mett forced it into double coverage.
Let's doubt that a guy coming off the bench cold to lead a 99 yard drive to win a game that we thought we'd lose, with the starter!
Let's gloss over the fact that although they have little experience, there are VERY FEW teams that can even hope to say that they have as much or more talent at WR.
We should just neglect that we just brought in the #2 overall WR, the #10 overall WR, have 6'2 4.44 Peterson, 6'4 4.42 Leslie, 6'3 4.52 Spears, 6'0 205 athlete Diarse, or the 6'2 4.42 Dural.
Oh it's no big deal. We just have everything we need to dominate in the pass game, but for some reason we are going to look like the 2010 offense or we won't go over 2000 passing. We're definitely only going to throw 15 times a game and run 50 times. Yeah, it's incredibly logical to believe that instead of the fact that we just signed 4 WRs last class and 5 this class. We are going to completely neglect them man. It's not like we just got a big athletic TE last class and then another one this class. You didn't know we got those pass catching TEs just to block? Yah, that's truly believable.
TL;DR I'll close out this very sarcastic post with
IN CAM I TRUST

And that's what happened on the last drive in the Arkansas game....they just knew Landry was getting the ball and Dural ended up wide open

Beckham played one series at arky, Landry picked up the slack. Not saying you don't have a good point, but if you are good, you are good.

Scary thing is that from watching film, Quinn and Upchurch might be the two most ready to contribute from day one. Dupre is gonna be a great one... he's just a little raw right now. Also really excited to see what Washington can do.

Passing production will be realized by the off-season work put in by Jennings/Harris and WRs...The difference between 2012 and 2013 cited by Odell and Juice, was the summer work they put in with the QBs...I hope with the daily discussions between Odell and Chi during his recruitment involved off season work with QBs...

Fournette, Magee, 4/5 returning OL, and a green mobile QB make for a run-heavy attack
