Jerell Powe was failed by the education system. He wasn't jumping around high schools due to disciplinary reasons or because he didn't like the coaches or his teammates like Alfano purportedly was. He was passed through his school despite not passing school due to undiagnosed learning disabilities.
And led to the greatest gameday sign of all time:
"There's no 'I' in team, but Jerrell Powe doesn't know that"
This is a lot more Arik Gilbert than Powe. Alfano also jumped around high schools and has had character concerns everywhere he's been.

Building the roster with dudes that can't be trusted to be available for big games?!? Worked real well with Denver Harris and Duce Chesnut. This dude has the same background. Saban couldn't fix him and he has bounced around over and over. If BK can't fix Denver Harris, why can he fix this dude?
