They didn't wait as long as Clemson.
it feels a lot different when the school 75 miles east of your home doesn't offer until a few hours before their highly coveted horse commits to FSU.

Clemson is about to lose their NFL starting QB. That offense won't look the same next year or the year after that.

Clemson doesn't allow commits to visit other schools so he will cancel if he goes the Clemson route.

Yeah the word I got was clemson.

So you are good with 2 classes with no RB's?

I question anyone who gets their feelings hurt in the recruiting game.
But I don't buy the Clemson thing...just hard to believe a La RB will pass up an LSU offer.
We'll see.

Etienne needs to put his big boy pants on and stop being butt hurt that LSU went all in on a better back. Why does he think Clemson waited so long?
Posted on 1/26/17 at 8:24 am to bwallcubfan
Helaire is better. We'll be fine. Just need two next year.

If he wants to play for LSU, he will sign with LSU. It's that simple.
Posted on 1/26/17 at 8:33 am to ColeLSU
He wasnt in Clemson backyard. He should have been Clemson back up plan

Clyde is a better back. He's signing with us. You're not counting him as a running back??

Word out of Jennings is Lsu waited too long
We will find out tonight
If Etienne signs with another team then so be it
LSU did not full press Etienne until Akers signed with Florida State and the staff wanted Akers for good reason. Hind sight would be nice to have but so goes recruiting as there is no crystal ball. With this said Etienne will choose his school and hope him the best.
The athletes we have lost Akers, Moses and Allen to name a few were all worth going after and the price you pay for going for the highest rated players is you miss on others who move on. I wish Etienne the best and hope he chooses LSU but if we miss on him then next year running back will be a big need.
There is no need for this board to bash Etienne or Coach O if he does not commit to LSU

This keeps being said by people that really don't have a clue how recruiting works. In-state offers have to be handled much more carefully because there are more repercussions if you ended up having to pull the offer.
Every once in a while, you get a kid or a kid's low information family, that doesn't understand the process or is being misled by another school about the process and they get all butthurt about "Not being shown enough love by the home state school"

It's going to be a wild NSD for sure. LSU will still have a top 10 class but there's going to be a ton of kids from Louisiana signing elsewhere. O really needs to lock down the state in 2018.
