Yeah, they don't put any effort into high school recruiting. That's why. Relying solely on the portal every year is a recipe for disaster as you saw with FSU. You need both and Ole Miss did nothing but disappoint this year with that talent.

We could do that too in the portal if you want your recruiting rankings to fall below 10.
We have a finite amount of money to spend just like other teams. Ole Miss is pushing heavy in the portal, other teams are pushing heavy in recruiting. We seem to be trying to do a kind of balanced approach. Meaning we likely aren’t going to get a lot of the “top of the top” players but we will get “top” players across the board.
Even after transfers are added to the class rankings, we will still be 10+ spots ahead of Ole Miss.
