It's always amazed me that these kids with NFL-tier physical skills aren't all studying some variation of finance.

It is a true statement that a degree from Texas is more prestigious than one from LSU in general and in many fields, though not all.
Prestige is subjective, unless you're an industry or educational spokesperson. If important, then I'd expect 5 stars to line up to play for Harvard.

No, that’s what Austin actually looks like these days. Sure, the color might be enhanced on the pic, but there’s nothing fake about it. The skyline has exploded over the past 10yrs or so.

5 Star athletes are not going to any school for the degree they are getting
There may be some players who decide because the quality of education is important to their parents. Most are not deciding because of that, unless they realize that a future in professional sports is not in their future.
The point of my response was to simply point out to ClamDip that Texas is indeed considered a much better school than LSU in academic prestige. I did not intend to imply that any high-level athletes would typically have that tip the scales in any way.

We’re talking about a kid who will go to “classes” for 3 years then go to the NFL. Why tf does the degree he won’t get matter?
Because he’s currently not at some shitty public school that is passing him through the system to make sure he remains eligible for sports.

What? I live here. That’s an old picture from like 2019. The skyline looks even better today.
Austin might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s objectively a nice city.

Yet another recruit escapes N.O. area, while we fret over Frank Wilson leaving!!! Let him go!!l
Yes I know it is a commitment, but it shows Wilson is not as necessary as some think.

It’s not about him being “necessary” but it’s not wrong that he is a valuable weapon when it comes to recruiting in Louisiana. Specifically New Orleans. His recruiting track record speaks for itself. Obviously no one person is make or break, but would still suck to see him leave. Especially cause he will most likely be hired by a school we recruit against

Pretty easy to avoid them considering 99% of the city is normal
