Take another rb in this class. Berry has the tools to be a great wr as shone in his 7 on 7. One of our best wr in LSU history was josh reed and he was originally a rb.

He will play both at LSU. He will line up at RB for 1st downs and will line up in the slot for certain 3rd down situations.

Not a bad idea if he’s open to it. Josh Reed did it, and Devery Henderson also did it. Russell Shepard played both at LSU.

Percy Harvin played both RB and WR really well while he was at Florida from 2006-2008.

He’s Reggie Bush style. Just let him be.

Pretty sure Eric Martin played RB in high school.

That doesn't mean, however, that I would move Harlem Berry to WR full time.

I trust the LSU coaching staff. They know football so if he is a running back and receiver good.

Seems to me that would limit his effectiveness on the field but who knows what will happen once he’s on campus. Need to put the ball in his hands in as many ways as possible

so was Devery Henderson. lead the team in yards per carry as a freshman running back (on not very many carries)

Same reason you don't put McCaffery or Kamara at wide receiver. Cause they can actually attack you from the rb spot.

To further clarify what you’re saying, running backs typically match up with linebackers at the snap, this a huge advantage for us that would be wasted moving him permanently to slot

He’s a huge matchup nightmare out of the backfield. Way easier to get a running back touches than a receiver.

He'll be Reggie Bush-esque.

Primarily a RB that will probably have a lot of plays drawn up to throw him the ball in space as well.

How hard is LSU working to flip James Simon if at all? Serious question

This is all null and void. You get him to campus and utilize him in whichever benefits best. They get paid a lot of money to figure this kind of stuff out. Just let it play out. He is aligned, all that matters rn.

I don't think Simon wants to come here

He’s that “X-factor” guy that every team wants. If he develops to the speed of college ball and is used properly, no team will be able to stop him.
