I agree. I got downvoted to hell in Lester's "Will we have a top 5 class" thread, but I really can't believe people think that's possible at this point.
I don't think you like the BK hire as much as me (I had him even or slightly ahead of Campbell on my list), so I'm not sure if you're down on his recruiting abilities in general, or just being realistic with your comment.
I do think he's going to recruit very well at LSU, but he's definitely not a flashy hire from a recruiting perspective. I think Riley would have generated a ton of excitement among recruits and boosted the class significantly and immediately. I thought with Kelly (and Campbell, if he would have been the hire) things would move a lot slower at first because he would focus more on getting to know the recruits and building relationships.

Kelly is a good hire and a good recruiter but I'm not sure how much he's going to move the needle with our current targets. I don't think many of them are all that familiar with him. How many of our targets was he actually even recruiting? I think it will take awhile for him to establish a strong rep here.
If our class even finishes at like 10 we should be extremely happy with that. Top 5 seems unrealistic unless he hits transfer portal hard. I personally don't think we're getting Wiggins or Law. Hard to commit when they don't even know who their OC, DC, position coach, etc. will be. It's too late for BK to make a huge impact in recruiting with our current targets. I think he has the right idea to focus on what we got now and then probably hit transfer portal hard.

I like the way you think. Wasn't Amorion a Notre Dame commit. Tall, fast, is good on special teams. As a 4 star, this kid could be a good add.
