Mett, not even close. Only player that might have been discussed more on this board is Seastrunk. At least from what I can remember.

Mett, as far as anticipation. The futher we go without a solid pipeline, the bigger each recruits grows in stature.

Because there was so much anticipation for Lee, Mett has taken on that plus his own. It's gotten to the point that if he doesn't win a Heisman he's a disappointment for a solid 50% of this board.

stupdiest post on this board ever. No one is expecting him to win the heisman u idiot. Other than the 2nd half against Bama and the ole miss game our qb have been terrible. We just néed mett to come in here and be able to throw the ball to our receivers and win us games not win in spite of our QB's.

I don't think that's the case... but I don't think that people are expecting him to come in and be average either (assuming JJ and JL are below average)

If he doesn't perform at least as well as Aaron Murray, that's when the disappointment may come on.

Well he's got a pretty high standard to live up to then.

Ahh, perhaps I got it confused with the rant. I'm very pleased with the way Jordan's been playing so I think he'll get some time next year before taking the starting role in 2012.
Didn't mean to stir up the good folk of the recruiting board

I wasn't denying that, but a Heisman is overstating.

Murray's going to be a hell of a QB over there.

I can say it's close. Both Mett and Lee were/have been made out to be the savior of the program. If Mett does not come here the program will survive. No one player makes a program. If Mett does not want to be here in the end then we don't want him anyway.

Lee was more tension because we knew that the Dodgers were going to offer millions and NONE of us would turn down MILLIONS to play for good old LSU.

Mett has no other options.

And he conveniently has 3 years left. So...
next year JJ starts, and in 2012, Mett can start. Meanwhile Rivers can redshirt next year and be a backup when Mett starts. So will Barrett Bailey.

Mett doesn't have a pro league offering him millions immediately ala Zach Lee or Zach Von Rosenberg..

One day he will.

I disagree. Most on here never thought Lee would make it to campus. Everyone was pretty sure he was going pro in baseball.

I think that was partly due to Miles haters smelling blood in the water. Most of them didn't even know who Zach Lee was as the season was approaching.

Mett has had a longer drawn out anticipation. Lee wasn't talked about much until spring when he got to campus and then there was a thread every two seconds on here and on the rant. I'd say it's similar, but one was a flash in the pan for about six weeks and the other has been more drawn out over many months.

Much more for Mett. Knowing he was a serious competitor to start at Ga. means he'll be further along than Z Lee was. Also remember he just plays football, so there will be no worries about another sport "stealing" him away.
