Specifically the ones in like Hawaii, also Rakim will be attending the Polynesian bowl! Ik the logical answer is they pay out of pocket but I feel like some of them aren't that fortunate even to get to the one in SA

Mark Emmert and Nick Saban split the bill each year.

It didn’t cross your mind that the game sponsors might pay for the expenses of the players?

You know LSU doesn’t make players pay to fly to Atlanta this weekend right?

If you really don’t understand that the sponsors pay for the players to attend the game I don’t know what to tell you. How old are you?

Also do you think LSU makes the players pay for an Uber from the airport to the hotel? Do you think they make them pay for the hotel? The Uber from the hotel to the stadium? You catch my drift? It’s the same with the high school all star games.

Haha I thought the same thing. “Alright boys, games at 4 start figuring out your rides to the stadium”

I've watched this site for a few years and have yet to post anything until now. This was a legit question by someone who was obviously uninformed and would like to know an answer. Instead of answering the question, why do so many on this site feel the need to insult poster? It's really getting old and ruining this site. Most threads turn quickly from valid discussions to people trying to show how big there "tool" is . What's the deal, we're all on the same team.

It's not a jumbo jet. That's used by admin only. When the team flies, they charter a commercial jet.

Correct. They all cram into that little private jet.

IF they had to pay (the recruit it is) it would be a violation for a school to contribute any as impermissible benefits.

School can pay on official visits only, which is strictly defined and necessarily limited. One of those definitions is that it be on your campus.

That's why can't pay the way for recruits for the game tomorrow- it's not our campus and thus neutral site, hence can't (*cough* or not supposed to) pay for anything. Basically an All Star game is not an official visit on campus, or is an unofficial at neutral site (basically contact "bump"). Same net result.

Same thing with camps, can't pay for that unless combined with one of the 5 OVs, which the timing makes sort of pointless.

So there's why the school CAN'T.

The other posters answered your real question directly- sponsors and other broadcast licensees pay for it.

ETA: Just in case you were wondering, even though you didn't ask... here's how strict they are (on everybody not named Bama that is):

LSU received penalties for giving CamRob and his mom a ride in a golf cart from off campus parking to the ops building. Technically he was off campus, so the ride was an impermissible benefit. If he had walked across the street and been on campus and gotten picked up there, then it would've been fine.

where you been? this kind of behavior is simply a refection of current American life. it seems civility is dead and considered a weakness. check out the national politicians, including the president of the united states. sadly, we a nation that has been dumbed down and everything is aimed at the lowest common denominator.

both you and I will get shunned and mocked for our comments.

You are correct. I'd be scared to give my political opinion on this site. The middle ground and civil discourse has been lost in our current society.
