Who is the surprise commit of the cycle?

Don’t remember if there was a thread on this recently. Most of the news on here has been kind of gloomy recently.
Last year it was Arik who committed to us when everyone thought it was Bama or Georgia; who do you think will be our surprise commit this cycle?

landon jackson was pretty surprising

Surprise or unknown? Unknown could a wide variety of inside o-line. But Surprise I would say one of the linebackers in my thread,Jason Marshall Jr or Ga'quincy.

We have back to back classes with Mater Dei commits. I'll go with that

Actually yeah Raesjon was a surprise.

Wouldn’t make it much of a surprise if we expected it to happen

Just because it's fun, I'll go with a current uncommitted prospect:
Smael Mondon
Who I'd want as the surprise but highly unlikely:
Amarious Mims (although it does involve a lot of the same programs as Arik Gilbert's recruitment).

Mondon we have a shot at, Mims we don't. We aren't even among the teams he will be choosing from.

It wasn’t a surprise, Greg Biggins had hinted at potential commitment like a week or so before he committed. He had been leaning towards LSU since last spring game.

Although not as highly ranked as Gilbert I would say among current commits it would be Jo Jo Earle...not only was it a surprise but it was a huge get bc theres nobody on LSU campus with his skill set
Out of the uncommitted prospects I would say Fidone if we can land him even though there’s been a good bit of smoke about him I think it would be huge bc we pulled the number 1 TE Gilbert last year along with Kole Taylor

if you followed raesjon’s social media, and even his parents social media, i thought it was obvious he was gonna commit to LSU. people just expected USC to be able to keep him but there wasn’t really any information that would’ve suggested that.

also the CBs for Kiner before he announced came out of nowhere too

Those where the times where I wasnt as into recruiting as I am now . I didnt know who we where after or anything. But I guess it may not have been a big a surprise as I think.

well i think it was still a surprise if you didn’t really look at his social media bc the “insiders” kept saying USC

In the sense of Gilbert's suprise, Jackson was the most surprising so far. Most everyone thought he was a TAM lean.
At the end, Foreman. It's gonna be a war and it'll likely be a surprise(In the sense that no one will really know) to whichever school actually lands him.
