Smaller version of Cam Newton.

Randle el is a great choice...but with him being a lefty I see alot of Pay white out of West Virginia in him

I second this. Dumb, just dumb! Why even start a thread like this because 95% is going to be rantards being rantards.

Another talented dual threat athlete who could be lethal in the right offense. LSU under Miles has proven not to be that type of offense which makes you wonder why do they keep going hard after these kids and then ruining them in some bull shite of an offense not suited for their skill set
I don't think any style of QB would be lethal in LSU's offense. LSU has been the school where QB's go to die. (Mett maybe being the exception but look what he had to work with and even then LSU finished 6th in passing offense in the SEC, so he didn't exactly set the world on fire at LSU either).
But that is supposed to be changing now (according to MIles and Cam and spring camp reports and with the hiring of Craig) with a new direction and emphasis on being a more modern open style offense like Bama, Clemson, Ohio state, and Florida St and NFL teams, and most the rest of college and high school teams run.

The best answers are Mike Vick and Randle El. Very elusive with a fairly strong arm, not necessarily known for accuracy but athletic enough to extend plays and find guys open.
Never going to complain about adding a talent like this to the roster, but I'm not in love with the fit for what Les and LSU traditionally want to do with the offense. I've always thought we've looked our best with guys like Mett, Russell, Lee, etc running the show. Guess we'll see

both of those guys were shitty passers.

Feel happy for the kid because he got a full ride scholarship to play in the SEC.
I don't see it. 75% of his video is him taking off running. Big deal. His throws weren't magnificent. Just another DT to me that will take a ton of time to develop. At least this time, unlike Harris, hopefully there will be guys in front of him that won't transfer and has time left.
Definitely needs a redshirt year. At minimum.

ESPN has him comparable to Braxton Miller.

Vince Young.
Exact same skill set with a cannon arm. Just needs to clean up accuracy
Lowell is 6'3 224 right now
Young was 6'5 230 in college
He's definitely got about another inch in him and will probably gain at least 6lbs of muscle.
Here's one that just hit me as well with a highly similar skill set and size.
Ryan Tannehill 6'4 220

Do you even know how good of a college QB he was? LSU has never had one put up the numbers he put up at Indiana.
