You may pull Dominick Jackson but not because he is a backup plan. We were trying to take eight OL. Jackson has a spot especially considering there is a chance that the OL from California, last name starts with a V, may flip to USCw with his buddies.

LSU should target all of Alabama's OL commits. They have a logjam in this class.
Not tackles. We need tackles. We are fine on the interior.

Doesn't matter. Your O-Line coaching has had a serious drop off. Your first round LT was called for HOLDING!!! I know it wasn't SEC refs, so that will improve, but still...

We need tackles.

They are good....yes.
Injuries......we need depth.
We will only have three tackles in 2015.

That kid from up north that was committed to play for a big school decommitted and decided on Alabama... now with CR there the kid is out in the cold... this is how saban operates....I can't think of kids name right now
JC Hassenauer, but he is a center. How does Cam Rob affect him?
maybe... Pocic to tackle later, bring in center to take that spot behind Porter (or for when Porter is gone)?
That's the only way I see Hassenauer "fitting" in.
ETA: while typing several beat me to it above.

Clay Spencers and Greg Shaws happen all the time. Didn't Chris Faulk get hurt and we had to move TBob and Dworsadfiecyzk around the line?
We had problems that year.
We need quality guys to back up the guys that you say are great, though they are frosh.
Futhermore, you need quality depth behind early departures, like Chris Faulk.....that hurt, because Hurst didn't perform great all season at Tackle, either. Didn't he get moved back to G?
It's not optimal to bump guys to the outside when you could have a natural tackle to back up the one that's out....(not talking about Pocic...he seems to be a Tackle that's good enough to play center)

Jamarco Jones is still a no-go around here?

an OT isn't a necessity IMO because clapp and brumfield can still grow into it and we still have Hawkins and Pocic. Pocic is the real deal.
Hawkins AND Pocic are the real deal. Hawkins is a freak of nature.
However, OLs get hurt everyday. We need depth there and quality depth if we want to sustain our program. That goes for both lines.
But Clapp and Brumfield are awesome players. I think we should add 1 or 2 more quality guys with good size. I'm sure they have names on their board.
Our class is going to be so filthy even without CRob. Lets just get over it.

o-line is a position you just have to take some risks on. It's a position we need a lot of depth at and to give players time to develop. WE passed on good o-lineman in the past like Patric Lewis and Dallas Thomas because we were after the flashier skill position players. Should sign 4-6 in every recruiting class. Doesn't seem like we had any targeted other than Cam.

That's how Miles operates, also. Remember Gunner and Porter?

It.
Won't.
Happen.
guys it's not just look at rankings for OT's and call names out, they have to fit our new system and also have legitimate interest back. Jones doesn't have interest in flipping from Ohio State. But he will be a good one for them

Just for education,
What kind of OT fits our system?

Heard of a guy named Andy Bauer. Is he legit? See he is committed to Ole Miss.

versatile (can play multiple positions, a la pocic or La'El)
athletic (can fit in our zone blocking scheme)
and preferably doesn't shite the bed in pass blocking

Bauer is legit. he hurt his hip (?) pretty bad and had surgery done for the year. saw some speculation might hinder his career.
