Easily the 2001 Class.

Clayton, Spears, Whitworth, Hill, Wilkerson, Niswanger.

It was unprecedented to have so many high rated guys and have them all qualify.

Hilliard, James, Gil Fenerty and Karl Bernard all signed with LSU and ALL four played in the NFL. Stovall and Pete Jenkins could recruit their asses off!!!

I flew a north La. booster down to Baton Rouge for NSD. At dinner that evening he was bragging how we had stolen a running back named Jason Armstrong away from Tech. Driving home that night I realized he meant La. Tech, and thought my god man, are things are that bad. As it turned out LSU lost out on Armstrong to Tech after all and a good house cleaning was in order.
Things change, so enjoy the now.

1995 - Kevin Faulk's recruitment, specifically was where I started following recruiting more closely.

2004. This is the first year I remember recruiting starting to get big and the first Bayou Bash I attended. It became a big thing after that.

Although I began a few years earlier, Russell Shepard 's class really got me. His hs film was awesome. Couldn't wait or him to run the read option. Never got the chance. Great tiger nonetheless!

The Hilliard and James class back in the early 80's.

That entire recruiting class was special. Coach Stovall was the best recruiter in his time. The administration lacked patience.

The Trev Faulk and B. James year. I had stumbled upon Dandydon at that point, and I've followed ever since.
