Probably Stingley, but shouldn't York at least get mentioned once as having some impact?

Soni Fonua will have a big impact as a pass rusher.

If you’re measuring impact based on statistics then I wouldn’t say Apu although he may have the biggest impact but it won’t be measured nor show up on the stat sheet... You could also include DS as one recruit who may have the biggest impact but so many people will try to measure his impact based off interceptions and pass breakups.

My personal opinion says Marcel Brooks. I think here is a guy that Dave Aranda will use all over the place which may mean he could end up with PBU’s, Ints, sacks, TFL’s and Tackles. I just think Brooks versatility will put him place to make more plays in the defense versus someone locked into a specific role.

Could be wrong. Just my opinion...

I think Emery blows up in this new offense.

You state later that’s not in order but I think it’s close except for Ika. I think you bump Ika up to 3. I think Davis/Brooks are almost interchangeable in terms of impact. Where Davis comes in as a higher impact to me is as a complimentary player for Emery (that also gave me pause at putting Ika at 3 vs 4).

In reality, that is a great haul for O and LSU.

Not saying the biggest impact, but if York kicks as well as his predecessor he will be a very important factor.

I would be very content if TK McClendon was a solid contributor to the point where we could be able to redshirt Charles Turner and Ray Parker.

Those two should redshirt, but it would tear me up if one of them outperformed a Juco guy we gave a scholarship to.

The ONLY players Coach Eaux mentioned during the coaches caravan last night without prompting were Apu Ika and Marcel Brooks.

He talks about other freshmen responding to questions starting at the 19:45 mark.

Stingley = What he brings + PR ability.

Ika = upgrade at NT, a push up front = impact.
(these 2 where EE's)

York = great addition, not sure of the impact, had a damn good kicker last year.

Emery = if the OL can/has improved. We all watched LF7 and DG5 struggle with elite teams albeit with different OL's.

Would love to see all 4 WRECK shite.

He will get exhausted with his current excess weight.

Have you missed the news that he has shed a lot of his excess already? Ika Will play a lot of snaps this year.

Yea, you may be right. There's no doubt Emery and Davis will be in the rotation and that won't leave many carries for Curry. Clyde is going to get some touches. I think they will use him like the Saints used Sproles and Bush. He looked even quicker than he did during last season. For the first time in a long time I'm anxious to see the offense.

The good news is that last year the LSU Oline was good at run blocking and opening holes. Nick Brossette had over 1,000 yards averaging 4.3 yards per carry while Clyde hadd 658 averaging 4.5 ypc.

With Emery and Davis coming in I don't see why the line can't be just as good as last season in the run game. They return every blocker besides Garrett Brumfield and Foster Moreau.

ETA: Foster was used as a blocker mostly on pass plays so I don't think his absence will affect the run game that much.
