Aside from the 2 5 stars the rest of the class seems pretty ordinary or at least standard Tennessee. I'm surprised they have 15 at this time but no telling there.

And 1 of the 2 5-stars is someone not many big schools are touching right now due to his shaky past with hitting a female teacher and changing schools because of that. Think Lewis' final 3 was Tennessee, A&M and Nebraska....kind of tells you all you need to know about his options and who was recruiting him in the end.

LSU and VOLS recruit very different areas so there’s very little overlap in targets.

All teams recruit everywhere they can. Tn has recruited well in many years and suddenly they surge this spring when the virus hit?

Memphis is the only area they really share and it’s a down year there, and VOLS are only going after one guy in Texas.

Then you're doing it all wrong.

Mo and Jacoby say hey.

Just watch, Tennessee will become a strong program again and Saban will start arguing to get rid of the permanent cross division opponent.

I mean don’t we kinda want Tennessee to be competent again? Affects both UF and bama.

Based on Tennessee's current average it looks like they will finish around 12.

The top five look to be Ohio State, Clemson, LSU, UGA and bama again in no particular order (even though bama only has three commits so far). The major change in the top ten this year will be USC. They seem to be getting it back together. UF looking to finish 9 or 10 too. Anohter surprise so far is North Carolina. They have 14 commits with a 91.59 average. That is excellent for them. NC is on their way to a top ten finish. Clemson finally might be challenged in the ACC in a couple of years.

Good, hopefully they will finally provide a game for Alabama. It’s been a rent-a-win for too long.

Most of their recruits this year are from FL and GA. Are you telling me that we do not recruit from those states?

+1.

Entirely off topic--Mike Leach leading the dawgs can be a threat to us in the near future. He good.

I love it. Any LSU fan should want a strong Tennessee.

We don’t compete with them much on the field or in recruiting, plus they play Alabama every year.

I'm pretty sure this is how they did it during their heyday. They always relied on recruits from surrounding states.

Many believe that Tennesse doesnt have a good number of excellent athletes. Not so! The problem is that the two best football areas of the state are Memphis and Chattanooga, both of which are closer to rivals (and carry their games on radio).

We will be adding

#88 Kaidon Salter
#112 Aaron Willis
#179 Katron Evans

on May 10th.

Likely adding #138 Colby Smith today or tomorrow.

We do, but our usual recruiting footprint is Louisiana and Texas. Occasionally dip into GA and FL. It definitely hurts Alabama and Georgia more than it hurts us. Still, guys like BJ Ojulari could end up in Knoxville in the future so I see your point.

As it's been recently said on here before, a strong Tennessee is good.

Challenges UGA, UF, and possibly Clemson if at peak U of Tennessee (90's UT) recruiting wise.

Helps LSU more than hurts.

I've been saying this for years, but more from the angle that if they can become a power again, they are in Bama's permanent East opponent so it's another tough game.

You can bet your sweet arse that the permanent opponents thing will go away if Tennessee gets good again...

Maybe they'll actually get a pulse and beat Bama every now and then.

Pump the brakes some, my man! Bama is still run by Saban and they continue to bring in a top3 class EVERY FREAKING YEAR for more than a decade now. Taking them down is a humungous task and only 4 coaches have done it so far, including O.

We don't play them, Tennessee, till the end of the 2022 season.
