All I ever heard about was how he was a lock for us this class if he had the grades. I see now he's committed to State. Does he have the grades but just decided he'd rather go to State or did we pass on him or.....?

As far as power backs go, I think they liked Curry & Joiner better. So with his grades being a problem I think they just moved on.

That's right. If you read Meat Market, you'll see this is an O101 technique. If there are grade issues, cut bait early. Don't waste time courting players that can't qualify.

Edit to fix typo.

Seems like this staff likes to get on kids early. If you commit good ,if not they seem to move on unless you are the cream of the crop. I think you will see the staff process some kids soon like the evil empire does.

I don’t know where he stands academically but he’s an SEC ready back and my favorite of all those that were/ are on our recruiting board .

He's gonna end up in JUCO and we can't afford that this year. Moved on to kids that can come in and contribute as freshman.

So is he going to qualify or no? Seems like if TCU is "accepting" his commitment it means there is at least a shot.

Hard cap means you can't get them all.... looks like between the RBs we have committed and the ones we are still chasing, we have too many for the spots left open, all without including Fabian....

I'd be shocked if he would qualify at TCU.

Why does LSU like joiner? I don't get it, joiner isn't interested in Lsu is he? If he was, wouldn't he have joined by now since LSU has been pressing him so hard. It the middle of December and LSU is his most popular client interested in him. What's his deal anyway? Lsu.. needs to go after a RUNNING BACK not a drama queen that loves attention.

Some kids don’t commit till signing day

Should we not recruit them?

Should we stop recruiting in November?

Franklin had a terrible SR season and the fact he isn’t going to qualify led to him getting dropped by MSU. Our new Coach never reached out to him after he was hired.

Freshman year he avg 6.7 YPC, Soph and Junior year he avg 6.2 YPC, SR year it was 6.5. He had 14 TDs and team went 14-1.

In June he re-took the ACT and in July MissSt felt he had the grades and scores to qualify.

He's 100% CB'd to LSU. Do you even bother glancing at 247 (or any other site for that matter) before making an arse of yourself?

I don't see why a coach wouldn't keep in contact with him to keep him in the fold regardles.

New coach has to prioritize his time, has a lot more on his plate than a coach established at a program. If Franklin isn't going to qualify you just have to cut bait in that situation.

I can't figure out how to upload the pic from my phone, but he took a visit to T.C.U and was fully dressed in their uniform with the number 25 fwiw.
