Yeah that’s his brother who’s a 2020 recruit. Zeriah Benson.

Interesting, I checked his 24/7 profile and LSU offered him on February 3rd. There is only one prediction for him and it is LSU.

Yea I think he's feeling that emotional high from the visit, once it settles down I think he'll want to stay closer to home..just my opinion..

He was at A&M's junior day on February 4th. This wasn't his first visit to a school. His A&M tweets were pretty much all media re-tweets.

24/7 article title:
"Top 100 ATH Marquez Beason has visited both Texas A&M and LSU recently and it could be a battle between the Aggies and Tigers for his services."

That's cool, staying close to home is a big deal to a lot of these recruits, my opinion is that this will win out...

Some families move where the recruit winds up. Christian LaCouture's family moved from Texas to Nebraska to Baton Rouge when he came here. JaCoby Steven's whole family moved to BR from Tennessee when he came to LSU.

Marquez' mother (Ketra Beason, I assume his mother) posted this on twitter:
Baton Rouge was ___. She had a picture of fire.

She tweeted a picture of Mike VII and Shea Dixon's tweet about Gunnell's A&M decommit and his visit to LSU.

I don't know what their relationship to Grant would be. He lives in Houston while the Beason's live in Dallas.

LSU is all over Jalen Curry too. I think Perroni, 247 a&m, put in picks for LSU for both Beason and Curry.

So at WR they're looking at

Devonta Lee
Trey Palmer
Jalen Curry
Dannis Jackson

At corner

Maurice Hampton
Derek Stingley
Marquez Beason
Devin Bush

Also keep an eye on the Burks kid from AR at wr. Ranked higher than Lee. Likely gonna turn down some wrs this cycle if we land both instate kids

Treylon Burks out of Arkansas is another they’re looking at for WR. Jalen Torbor could get an offer as well. As for DB, they’re still recruiting Bobby Wolfe and Erick Young, though both are all A&M at the moment. Hampton will probably end up at safety.

Yeah I was gonna ask Arkytiger23 what's the scoop on Burks. Thought they were on top for both Wolfe and Young earlier, don't know what happened there; Jamal Morris too. I'm guessing Stevenson out Florida and Burdine are the other DBs in play.

Does anyone know if LSU is recruiting Marquez Beason as a WR or CB? His 247 profile lists both positions, ESPN shows WR, Rivals lists him as Athlete.

seems DB, and 247 does indeed list Raymond as primary.

On a related note, we offered JUCO DB Elija Blades. 3rd SEC offer.

Yes, they are cousins.

24/7 thread title by Shea:

quote:

*** LSU feels like home for Zeriah Beason

Apparently the cousins want to play together in college and both are currently very HIGH on the LSU program. Sounds like if they get one they get both, if they don't get one they don't get either.
